Ryan Seacrest shocks fans with unexpected message to Kardashians on new Hulu show after family DROPPED him as producer
RYAN Seacrest has taken the higher road despite the Kardashian family dropping him as their show producer.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians co-creator previously spoke about the reality stars and how they’ve “evolved” from the E! show.
But Ryan, 47, has seemingly remained friends with the famous family, after sending both Khloe and Kourtney a bouquet of flowers in honor of their Hulu debut.
Khloe, 37, took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday night to share a beautiful arrangement of multi-colored orange and pink roses.
The reality star held up a card in the shot that read: “Good luck with the launch! Love Ryan Seacrest.”
The TV personality then tagged her long-time friend, writing: “Class act.”
A couple of hours later, Kourtney, 42, shared a similar photo, but of a stunning bouquet of pink peonies and a card reading the same cheerful message.
BYE BYE RYAN
The thoughtful gesture came as a bit of a shock, as the Kardashians dropped Ryan as their producer when moving from KUWTK on E! to their new show on Hulu.
The sisters and their mom appeared on the streaming platform for the brand new series during the premiere on April 14.
But the Live with Kelly and Ryan star previously spoke out about the change, admitting that The Kardashians would present a “new” opportunity for the Kar-Jenner crew.
He told People Magazine in February of 2021: “I think they have a lot of ideas and [will do] a lot of things that they may have not had a chance to do with Keeping Up with the Kardashians because it was such a strong franchise and people wanted what they saw from the family. And that’s what they got for 20 seasons.
“So I have a feeling they have a stack of ideas. My guess would be they want to evolve a little bit from the show that everybody has seen and do something differently.”
BIRTHDAY LOVE
In December, Ryan celebrated his 47th birthday and received celebratory wishes from his long-time friends.
Kris Jenner and Kim, both of whom he worked with on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, gave him a shoutout.
Kim, 41, shared a throwback photo of herself with the show host on the red carpet more than a decade ago while attending the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.
She wrote over the picture: “Happy birthday Ryan Seacrest.”
Meanwhile, momager Kris, 66, shared her own image of Ryan, with the message “Happy birthday @ryanseacrest. I love you.”
SCARY INCIDENT
In 2021 the multi-hyphenate host confessed to feeling “burnt out, beat up & fatigued” during a live broadcast.
Ryan opened up about having a scary incident in an interview with the WSJ.
“It’s personal, but I definitely knew that I needed to slow down…. I just had burnt myself out,” the host revealed.
“I was absolutely beat and fatigued and just wasn’t letting myself accept that. Now I do,” he added.
The American Idol star also shared the piece of medical advice he received following the episode: “to slow down.”
“To say no to things is difficult. You want to say yes,” he said. “When I say no to something, I feel guilt in terms of an obligation.”
Fans were left concerned for the star’s health after a segment saw the presenter slur his speech and appear unable to focus properly.
Viewers feared that the talk show host was suffering a stroke on the air after he appeared to have trouble focusing during a live American Idol episode.
His right eye also appeared to be drooping.
Reps for the star released a statement afterward that read: “Ryan did not have any kind of stroke last night.
“Like many people right now, Ryan is adjusting to the new normal and finding work-home balance, with the added stress of having to put on live shows from home.”
Speaking to People magazine, the rep added: “Between Live with Kelly and Ryan, American Idol, On-Air with Ryan Seacrest, and the Disney Family Singalong specials, he has been juggling three to four on-air jobs over the last few weeks and he’s in need of rest.
“So today he took a well-deserved day off.”
