Jennifer Garner celebrates her 50th Birthday and shares opinions about JLo and Ex-Husband Ben Affleck’s wedding
Jennifer Garner is one of the most beloved celebrities in Hollywood and TV land and turned 50 years old this Sunday.
When asked what it felt like to turn 50 by her close friend Ellen DeGeneres she commented, that she liked it “I like the idea that I’m suddenly allowing myself to believe that I know everything I know. It empowers me” she shared.
Early Career
We saw her early beginnings in the TV Drama, Felicity, as the charismatic Hanna Bibb, and everyone knew she was destined for great things, she then she earned her own spotlight to start in her own series as the double agent Sydney Bristow / Anna Espinoza in the show Alias, which was well received and had a good run until 2006.
While in Alias, she jumped to the big screen to join Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks, and director Steven Spielberg in the critically acclaimed “Catch me if you can”.
Elektra and marriage to Ben Affleck
She then entered the superhero genre to start as Elektra, the love interest of protagonist Daredevil, played by soon-to-be boyfriend Ben Affleck (who she will later marry), to her own Elektra movie.
She has been on constant projects, but she is mostly focused on her family, she has gone through two marriages and two divorces with two actors (Scott Foley and, of course, Ben Affleck), three children, an award-winning career in television (four Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe).
In the Ellen show, she also mentioned that the relationship with Ben was difficult and she was marked by Affleck’s alcohol abuse and the occasional infidelity, she acknowledged that he was the most brilliant person she had ever met, but that he was too complicated.

She wouldn’t show up at the wedding just because of principal
As you may remember, Jennifer Lopez was engaged to Ben when Garner and he started working together and eventually ended up getting married and then divorced, now the tables have turned and she’s the one he’s recommitted to now that their 13-year marriage is over.
A source close to Garner says that she thinks “As long as he stays sober, she’ll be happy,” the source also assures that although it seems that the couple is willing to invite Jennifer Garner to the wedding, she will not cross the line, just for the principle of it.
