Scott Disick seemingly responds to Sofia Richie’s engagement news
Scott Disick‘s taking the news of another ex’s engagement with a big dose of self-deprecating humor. On Wednesday, April 20, Sofia Richie — who Scott dated for nearly three years — announced she’s planning a trip down the aisle with Elliott Grainge, her boyfriend of one year. The announcement comes as Scott’s emotional response to Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker‘s October 2021 engagement plays out on Hulu’s first season of “The Kardashians.” And maybe tackling his feelings about Kourt for the cameras last fall took the sting out of Sofia’s big news, because just hours after she and Elliott posted about their engagement, Scott hopped on Instagram — and cracked a joke at his own expense. Sharing a photo of himself on a speedboat in Miami, he joked, “In the 305 just call me good luck chuck,” a reference to the 2007 flop “Good Luck Chuck,” in which Dane Cook plays a guy who finds every woman he sleeps with is fated to find true love afterwards — with someone else, thanks to a curse. His followers clearly got the joke and appreciated it. “There’s the Scott Disick we all know and love!” one person wrote. “Scott you are too funny …,” wrote another. Referencing the reality star’s affection for dating much, much younger women, a third helpfully offered, “Date me next I’m 20!” Scott, 38, shares three kids with Kourtney after they were together (mostly) for nearly a decade. He’s currently dating Rebecca Donaldson.

Kourtney Kardashian details ‘awful’ IVF struggle
Kourtney Kardashian has been struggling through what she called the “awful” effects of IVF while trying to have a baby with her fiance, Travis Barker. This week’s episode of “The Kardashians” shows Kourtney, 43, speaking candidly with her mom, Kris Jenner, about her difficulty getting pregnant through in vitro fertilization, which she says has brought on intense mood changes rather than pregnancy. Asked how her IVF appointments have been going, Kourtney tells her mom, “awful,” before revealing the not-so-great effects the meds she’s on have had on her body and mental health. “Every single person on social media is always like, ‘Kourtney’s pregnant, Kourtney’s pregnant, Kourtney’s gained so much weight.’ I’m like, it’s so rude to comment on people when you have no idea what they’re actually going through,” she tells Kris, according to People. “The medication that they’ve been giving me, they put me into menopause … [it] basically put me into depression. … And I have everything in the world to be happy about. I just feel a little bit off. I’m super moody and hormonal. Like, I’m a lunatic half the time,” she says. Kris basically says she’s been there, recalling how a miscarriage in 1994 made her “body entirely shut down,” making her “moody and depressed and bloated” and generally miserable. In a confessional, Kourtney admits she suspects that “because I’m so clean and careful with what I put into my body” the medication is having the opposite effect of what was intended. She shares sons Mason, 11, and Reign, 6, and daughter Penelope, 9, with her ex, Scott Disick. Travis is already a parent, too, sharing 18-year-old son Landon, 16-year-old daughter Alabama and 22-year-old stepdaughter Atiana with his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler.
A$AP Rocky posts $550k bail after arrest, police reportedly searching for weapon used in shooting
A$AP Rocky posted bail a few hours after he was arrested and booked by Los Angeles police on Wednesday, April 20, in connection with a 2021 shooting. The bail was set at $550,000, according to NBC News. The rapper had just touched down at Los Angeles International Airport on a private jet with his girlfriend, Rihanna, who is expecting their first child together, when the arrest took place. And according to TMZ‘s sources, both Rocky and Rihanna were totally “shocked” when they saw police. Rocky (real name: Rakim Mayers) is a suspect in a shooting that reportedly took place on a Los Angeles street on Nov. 6. The victim claims to be an acquaintance of the rapper and says Rocky shot at him after an argument, allegedly leaving his hand grazed by a bullet, per NBC’s report. Law enforcement sources later confirmed to the outlet that a search warrant was issued for Rocky’s home in Los Angeles. And if TMZ’s sources are correct, that warrant was the reason police surprised the rapper, rather than contacting a rep so he could turn himself in. The outlet reported early on Thursday morning that cops “wanted to see if they could find the gun used in the shooting,” though by Thursday afternoon it remained unclear whether they’d found anything. In the meantime, Rocky faces a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon, with a court date scheduled for Aug. 17. Rocky and Rihanna were flying back from Barbados after visiting Rihanna‘s family ahead of her due date. She recently said she was in her third trimester of pregnancy.
Jimmy Kimmel thanks ‘brilliant’ medical staff who saved his son Billy’s life
Jimmy Kimmel celebrated his son Billy’s 5th birthday on Thursday, April 21, with some love for the medical tea, that saved Billy’s life after he was born with a heart defect. “Happy 5th birthday to our little nut,” Jimmy captioned an Instagram photo of Billy blowing out lit candles on a cake. “We are eternally grateful to the brilliant doctors and nurses at @ChildrensLA & @CedarsSinai for saving Billy’s life and to those of you whose donations, prayers and positive thoughts meant everything,” Jimmy continued. “Please support families who need medical care. Link in bio.” The late-night host then directed fans and followers to a Children’s Hospital Los Angeles donation page, where they can “make a difference in the life of a child by providing a healthy future.” Jimmy, who shares Billy with wife Molly McNearney, told his audience early on about Billy’s medical challenges, which required open-heart surgery when Billy was just three days old.

After starring for seven seasons on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” NeNe Leakes has filed suit against the companies that produced the show, including “Housewives” executive producer, Andy Cohen. The lawsuit, filed on Wednesday, April 20, alleges Andy, Bravo, NBCUniversal and two production companies involved with the series fostered a racist and hostile work environment, according to The Hollywood Reporter. NeNe, 54, claims nothing was ever done about the racist comments her co-star Kim Zolciak-Biermann allegedly made over the years, despite NeNe’s frequent complaints to the show’s execs. The suit alleges Kim, who is white, made comments in the first season that “perpetuated an offensive stereotype about African-Americans,” including a remark about eating chicken. Other allegations include claims that during the fifth season, Kim used the N-word in reference to NeNe and other housewives and made “racially offensive and stereotypical” comments about Kandi Burruss’ new home, which she allegedly said was in a “ghetto.” The suit also claims Kim “falsely implied” NeNe uses drugs, among other things, according to THR. NeNe says that when she complained, those in charge “did not terminate their relationship with [Kim], nor take any other meaningful action to put an end to her racially-offensive behavior.” Instead, she was given a spin-off show of her own, while NeNe says she was ousted from the series. Prior to her departure, as the Black Lives Matter movement gained steam and NeNe vocally supported its cause, she says she was kept off episodes where the movement was discussed. NeNe is reportedly seeking monetary damages, and her lawyers seek to prove the defendants violated federal employment and anti-discrimination laws.
Amy Schumer on why husband Chris Fischer’s autism spectrum diagnosis is like ‘a superpower’
Amy Schumer sees her husband’s autism spectrum disorder diagnosis as a “superpower,” she told Ellen DeGeneres on her show this week. “All of his behavior is kind of excused now,” Amy joked. “If someone’s telling a long, boring story, he will straight up just walk away. He’ll just wander away, and I’m just still stuck there.” Because Chris was diagnosed as an adult rather than a child, Amy explained, the couple was able to find the resources they needed so he could manage it comfortably. “People just don’t know much about autism,” Amy said. “They’re like, ‘Oh does he love to count? Should we drop a bunch of straws on the floor and will he count them?'” The comic married Chris in 2018 and first revealed his diagnosis the following year on her Netflix special, “Growing.” “It’s really given us so many helpful tools,” she said on “Ellen.” “I think it’s a good thing for people to check it out and get tested so you don’t spend your whole life feeling like you’re bad or wrong … my favorite people are on the spectrum.”
Alec Baldwin says ‘Rust’ investigation ‘exonerates’ him amid wrongful death suit
Alec Baldwin‘s attorney says the actor is officially absolved of fault in the “Rust” set shooting that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souza last fall. On Wednesday, April 20, the New Mexico Occupational Health and Safety Bureau released a report of its findings after an investigation of the shooting, which took place after Alec was handed a gun he’d been incorrectly told contained no live ammo. “… We appreciate that the report exonerates Mr. Baldwin by making clear that he believed the gun held only dummy rounds,” Alec’s attorney said in part in a statement the actor later shared on social media. “Additionally, the report recognizes that Mr. Baldwin’s authority on the production was limited … [and he] … had no authority over the matters that were the subject of the Bureau’s findings of violations,” the statement continued. The OSHB report detailed multiple breaches of safety rules and policies, including a lack of regulation to ensure live rounds would not be on the set. The report also points to multiple weapon misfires prior to the one Alec was involved with, noting management failed to address them adequately, and says the movie’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, was prevented from conducting adequate safety training with Alec and others. Finally, the report found “Rust” assistant director and safety coordinator Dave Halls failed to check in with a weapons specialist before handing the revolver to Alec, according to Variety. Rust Movie Productions was slapped with the bureau’s maximum fine of $136,793 for its safety violations. Alec and others involved with the production still face a wrongful death suit filed by Halyna’s family.

Tony Awards issue ‘no violence’ policy after Will Smith’s Oscars slap debacle
There is to be no slapping, onstage or otherwise, at the 2022 Tony Awards. Producers behind the show made that point clear in the FAQ section of a letter they recently sent to all attendees, NBC reported on Thursday, April 21. The Tonys’ “strict no violence policy” alert comes in the wake of the messy fallout after Will Smith slapped Academy Awards presenter Chris Rock at the Oscars last month. Chris had made a crack about the buzz cut currently being sported by Will’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. The comment reportedly touched a nerve because Jada suffers from alopecia, which causes hair loss. Things got confusing after “The Slap” when Will was not removed from the auditorium. Rather, he won his first Best Actor Oscar for “King Richard” shortly after he’d strolled onstage and hit Chris in the face. “In the event of an incident” of violence,” the Tony Awards team told guests, “the perpetrator will be removed from the event immediately.” Will has since resigned from the Academy and been barred from attending future Academy events for the next 10 years. The 2022 Tonys are slated to be held on June 12 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
