And in a new interview with the Entertainment Weekly video series Role Call, the actress dishes about some the more wilder tales she’s experienced during her time on set.
Among the most memorable moments for Lyonne happened during the shoot for Scary Movie 2 in 2000, and it involved big screen legend, Marlon Brando, holding on to her breast; a scene that ultimately didn’t make it to the final cut due to Brando dropping out of the project due to an alleged illness.

For the scene, a parody of The Exorcist, a 20-year-old Lyonne played Megan Voorhees, a Linda Blair-inspired girl who was possessed.
Before dropping out of the Scary Movie sequel, Brando filmed a scene with Lyonne, and she saved a video copy of that memorable moment, after all of these years.
‘I have a VHS copy of the dailies that I got because Marlon Brando’s final role — sadly for him, but luckily for me — is doing this Exorcist opening teaser,’ she said, adding, ‘I don’t know what he was thinking, really.’
She continued: ‘He had an oxygen tank and he just kind of held my boob, because that was in the script. He was supposed to be like, “The power of Christ compels you.” I just remember being like, “Ah, this is the surrealism that André Breton, Salvador Dali were talking about.”‘

During an appearance on the late night talk show Conan in September 2013, Lyonne went into detail about the on set situation with Brando with host Conan O’Brien and his sidekick Andy Richter.
Richter actually played Father Harris, the younger priest trying to rid the girl (Lyonne) of the demonic presence alongside Father McFeely, ultimately played by James Woods, who took over for Brando.
‘I was in the prosthetics and maybe 20, playing 13 with good genetics,’ she joked during the chat in the guest’s chair on Conan.
‘And in between takes he would just hold on to my boob while he was waiting to receive the information,’ she said, in a reference to Brando receiving his lines from the script with the help of an earpiece.
Highlight of career: Lyonne, who called the experience with Brando ‘surreal’, said he worked with an oxygen tank by his side, all while holding on ‘to my boob’
Brando out: James Wood was hired as Brando’s replacement as Father McFeely, a priest who, along with Andy Richter as Father Harris, tired to ride Megan (Lyonne) of the demonic spirit
Lyonne went on to reveal that Brando continually held on to her breast, even while he tried decipher the original film’s iconic lines like: ‘The power of Christ compels you.’
Looking Richter’s way on the studio set, the Russian Doll star confessed she looked to Richter as ‘a touchstone of like sanity.’
Apparently like most people, the actress admitted she felt like she couldn’t say anything to Brando, calling the opportunity to work with the legendary leading man on Scary Movie 2, ‘The highlight of my professional career.’

And despite Brando having his hand on her breast, the actress had one of those ‘ah- ha’ moments of clarity.
‘So, I had Brando with the earpiece and the hand on the boob, and the makeup, and ‘The power of Christ compels you,’ and not to curse, but, “Your mother sucks c***s in hell,” and so on. This was all happening at once, and I remember like, “You know, showbiz is all right.” In that moment, showbiz was A-okay.’
Brando, who completed one day of filming before he dropped out Scary Movie 2, was to be paid $2 million for his cameo as Father McFeely, according to the NY Post.
