The realtors don’t actually receive a salary from The Oppenheim Group, as they make their money solely from commission.

This means that they only get paid if they make a sale, but this is usually a six-figure sum given the types of properties they’re selling.

Those who have been Selling Sunset fans from the start will remember how Davina Potratz managed to take on a $75 million (£58.9m) listing, which would have seen her earn an eye-watering $2,250,000 (£1.7m) in commission.

All of the real estate agents look to have steady incomes however, as they can regularly be found showing off their incredible homes and luxury goods on social media.

The percentage of commission the Selling Sunset agents receive varies depending on the property, and cast member Mary Fitzgerald, 41, previously opened up about how much she earns as an estate agent at The Oppenheim Group.

The blonde beauty told the Express: “I think the hardest thing in real estate is working for commission only. Spending months sometimes with a client and then they change their minds.”

Mary went on to explain more about her job, saying: “The best part can also be when a client finds something they love immediately and I make a huge commission with very little effort.

“This unfortunately is not normally the case, but I have double-ended deals represented the buyer as well on my own listing, so this is the best scenario for an agent.”

The estate agents typically make a 3% commission from the cost of the listing, and the houses featured on Selling Sunset are generally in the high millions. For example, if an agent sold a property for $5million (£3.9m) they’d take home a whopping $150,000 (£118,000).

Alongside their roles at The Oppenheim Group, many of the Selling Sunset agents have found fame thanks to the show, and have made thousands thanks to sponsored social media posts.

Selling Sunset is available to stream on Netflix.
