Olivia Rodrigo was designed for people like me (old) to have a young person to live vicariously through. When she got her driver’s license last week, so did I. When she accidentally broke her Grammy, my imaginary Grammy spontaneously combusted. When she thought President Joe Biden gave her a shoe horn, I, too, was like, What? Joe! That’s so crazy! So now, with rumors circulating that she is dating Hollywood DJ Zack Bia, I must figure out what a Hollywood DJ even is.

According to E! News, Rodrigo and Bia have been seeing each other since February when she attended some of his Super Bowl parties. More recently, E! News published a photo of the two of them walking around New York City, his arm around her — proof of love!! But again … who is this man?

A 2020 profile with GQ seeks to answer the question, “Who Is Zack Bia?” In short, he’s a DJ, a social-media influencer, Madison Beer’s ex-boyfriend, and a former club promoter. He seems to have gotten his start after he happened to be at the same club as Fetty Wap; the rapper heard that Bia, who was 19 at the time, was also a Gemini and invited Bia and his friends to come drink at his table. Several years and a Drake co-sign later, Bia has a vodka brand with Stassie Baby, hangs out with Jack Harlow and Lil Yachty, and dates Grammy-winning ingénues.

It seems Rodrigo has a type: men whose names I have to Google. Last July, she was rumored to be dating Adam Faze. The 24-year-old producer is apparently best known for directing a music video for Goody Grace, a singer who used to date Kate Beckinsale. In February, Rodrigo and Faze reportedly broke up shortly before she was first linked with Bia.

Well, congrats to these two young people, and congrats to all of us for the bops that will inevitably come out of this relationship.
