8 Celebrities Who Are Apparently Banned From (Or Simply Boycott) The Met Gala
Each and every year, Hollywood’s A-list head to New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art to walk the red carpet of the Met Gala.
The event itself is a costume gala where celebrities arrive in the masses, dressed head-to-toe in designer gowns to fit that year’s theme, before heading inside for a star-studded dinner and a glance at this year’s exhibit.
While extroverts may think of a night like this as absolute bliss, some famous faces think otherwise. A small selection of celebrities have publicly spoken of their dismay for the Met Gala while others have found themselves without an invite because of what they’ve said publicly.
Of course, word of any bans are yet to be confirmed, but given what some have claimed about their sudden lack of guest list inclusions, it’s safe to assume that a ban might be in place. For others, they have simply made it clear that they have no intention of attending because their experience wasn’t what they’d hoped it would be.
Below, we’ve rounded up every celebrity who has apparently been banned or who have chosen not to attend the Met Gala.
