Chris Pratt tends not to approach polarizing topics like religion or politics directly, but it’s still well known that he’s a devout Christian and church-going regular thanks to the odd reference to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has been criticized in recent years due to claims that the church he attends is anti-LGBTQ, although many of his colleagues in Hollywood have spoken up in his defense. Most recently, a tweet calling for Pratt to be replaced in the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ franchise went viral, evoking a strong reaction from Director James Gunn. Gunn was quick to call out what he sees as a false narrative and stand by his friend: “For what? Because of your made-up, utterly-false beliefs about him? For something that someone else told you about him that’s not true? Chris Pratt would never be replaced as Star-Lord but, if he ever was, we would all be going with him.”
