Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx spotted shopping on Dublin’s Grafton Street ahead of role as Mike Tyson in biopic
HOLLYWOOD superstar Jamie Foxx stepped out in Dublin to freshen up his wardrobe with a spot of shopping.
The American actor was snapped leaving Brown Thomas on Grafton Street this evening.
Jamie and his entourage were spotted leaving the store laden with designer shopping bags.
It was reported earlier this year that the Oscar winner was in the capital to host a TV game show series called Beat Shazam, in which contestants can win up to $1 million in prizes.
The Texan hosts the show with his daughter Connie and the contestants are all American, with the audience made up of Irish people.
The show is being made by the same Irish base production company which recently hosted the music show Name That Tune.
Filming of that show had to be halted late last year due to an outbreak of Covid at the Fonthill studios in west Dublin.
Jamie is also set to transform into Mike Tyson for a role in the the eagerly-anticipated boxing biopic.
The actor has been beefing up ahead of the series that will be produced by the great Martin Scorcese.
Upon accepting the role, Foxx began a rigorous training regime in order to build up his frame.
And last month the Project Power star showed just how well the hard work was paying off with a topless picture of himself flexing.
Foxx opened up on his training regime during an Instagram Live last June, saying: “What I’m doing right now is changing the body.
“So now, what I do every other day, I do 60 pull-ups, 60 dips, 100 press-ups, it’s changing the body, the top half.
“I ain’t got no legs, I ain’t got no calf muscles, so we might have to get some prosthetics for that.”
Foxx, 53, has a good relationship with Tyson and has promised The Baddest Man on the Planet his performance will do him justice.
