Billie Lourd is married! The actress wed Austen Rydell on Saturday in a ceremony in Mexico. The couple already shares their one-year-old son, Kingston Fisher.

It’s over for Kate Maloney and Tom Schwartz. The Vanderpump Rules stars couple called it quits after twelve years of marriage. They each made the announcement on their Instagram accounts.

Tom Hiddleston put a ring on Zawe Ashton’s finger this week. The couple’s announcement caused quite a stir after their engagement leaked but their reps declined to comment. This isn’t the first time Tom has kept things low-key. He is notorious for trying to keep his private life private.

Gold Star Accomplishments

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame wanted to put Dolly Parton on the ballot this year but the country singer declined. She opted out citing she did not feel she deserved the extinguished induction. Dolly also stated this has inspired her to possibly release a rock album.

Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky was nominated for the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize by several world leaders. The actor-turned-politician has taken a front-line approach to the invasion of his country and become one of the most known names on the planet.

Crime and Punishment

Jussie Smollett was convicted last week and his lawyers are already demanding his release from prison. They claim that not only are Covid outbreaks putting him at risk but their client is receiving threats. As of this report, Smollett is still behind bars.

Entertainment News: Illness and Injury

President Barack Obama had to take a step back from his public appearances this week after contracting Covid. He made the announcement on March 13th and assured everyone he is vaccinated and feeling okay so far.

A mysterious illness on the set of NCIS nearly brought the show’s production to a grinding halt. As of this report, the cause of the sickness is unknown but TMZ reports those on set suspect food poisoning.

Celebrity Scandals

The socialite scammer who is the inspiration for Netflix’s “Inventing Anna” series, Anna Delvey, is being deported. She was released from an ICE detention center but only so she could board a flight to Germany on Monday night. She is appealing and her case will be heard on April 19th.

Dan Fagen, of Steely Dan fame, was arrested this week after his wife, Libby Titus, accused the musician of getting physical with her. So far, charges have not been laid.

In Other News

A huge blaze broke out in UK’s Pinewood Studios on March 15. The sound stage was being set up for the taping of Disney’s live-action Snow White film when the fire occurred. Thankfully, it was brought under control and no one was hurt.

Paul Wesley was announced for the iconic role of James T. Kirk. He will be taking on the role for the second season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Fans can expect to watch starting May 5th on Paramount Plus.

Tom Brady retired from football just a few months ago but that plan is not the case anymore. The superstar athlete decided lounging around just isn’t for him and signed on for another season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Entertainment News: In Memoriam

WWE Hall of Fame superstar Scott Hall died on May 14. He went in for surgery for a hip replacement and passed away suffering of series of complications. He was 63 years old.

Oscar-winner William Hurt passed on May 13th. The 71-year-old actor is said to have passed away of natural causes after a long battle with prostate cancer surrounded by family. Hurt won the Oscar in 1986 for his portrayal of Luis Molina in Kiss of the Spider Woman.

The Home Shopping Network lost its most iconic figure with the death of Marilyn Maglin. Her son confirmed her death on Monday saying his mother died from complications of a stroke. Her husband, Lee, was murdered by serial killer Andrew Cunanan in 1997.

Russian forces invading Ukraine shot and killed Fox News Journalist Oleksandra “Sasha” Kuvshynova and Cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski. A second Journalist, Benjamin Hall, was injured in the attack and remains hospitalized. American Journalist and Filmmaker, Brent Renaud also died due to Russian gunfire in a separate incident.

Famed Ukrainian actress, Osaka Shvets was the victim of a Russian rocket attack on a residential building in Kyiv. She was 67 years old.
