British popstar Dua Lipa and boyfriend Anwar Hadid have reportedly called quits on their two-year long relationship.

Reports state that the duo could not sustain their spark despite engaging in crisis talks and taking a break.

Known for breaking up and getting back together, an inside source speaking to celebrity gossip site Deux Moi confirmed that their split might be for good this time.

The source told the publication: “The couple floated the idea about putting the brakes on their romance last month as travelling so much and being apart is proving tough.”

“Their relationship is going through a crisis and appears to be on the rocks.”

The pair had not been seen together in almost eight weeks due to their clashing work schedules. Also, Dua Lipa’s last photo of them together was posted three months ago while Anwar’s last picture of them together was posted on the 1st of November.

Just before their split was announced Anwar Hadid, younger brother of supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid, in a cryptic Instagram post wrote that he is grateful for loved ones “guiding my steps, allowing me to learn to be happy with myself”.

The news of the couple’s split comes as a surprise to fans especially as the couple seemed to be thriving and happy as they isolated on Anwar’s family farm in Pennsylvania.

Dua, 26, and Anwar,22, began dating in 2019. The couple moved in together in September 2019, three months after they started dating, renting an apartment in New York.

In her one-year anniversary post to Anwar Hadid back in 2020, she captioned her Instagram post: ‘nothing sweeter than 365 days joint at the hip with you ❤️.’

While both parties are yet to comment publicly, Dua is currently recording her album in London and in Los Angeles, while Anwar has been alone in New York with their dog Dexter.
