Priyanka Chopra has made India proud on the global map in more ways than one. After a successful career in Bollywood, the actress made her way to Hollywood and won everyone’s hearts. Now, Priyanka is all set to bring more South Asian representation to the West through her production house, Purple Pebble Pictures. In her recent interview, Priyanka mentioned that she is trying to immerse the entertainment business with stories about India and the South Asian diaspora.

SOUTH ASIAN REPRESENTATION IN HOLLYWOOD

In an interview with Deadline, Priyanka Chopra said, “I am incubating new writers, filmmakers who want to pitch their stories, and Purple Pebble Pictures is the gateway for that. I never had that when I joined the industry.”

The global diva further added, “I’m also really trying to immerse the business of entertainment with stories about India and about the South Asian diaspora. About girls, about women, about our place here. And I’m trying to create diversity, not by just talking about it but by actually letting my work and the work that comes out of my production company stand for it.”

ON THE WORK FRONT FOR PRIYANKA

As of now, Priyanka Chopra is shooting for Citadel. Apart from that project, the actress has Text For You lined up in the pipeline. Back in Bollywood, the actress will be uniting with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif for Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa.
