B&M’s latest product appears to have divided shoppers, with the retailer launching a new flavour of one of Britain’s favourite biscuits.

The budget-friendly store has announced that banana-filled Jammie Dodgers have recently landed on shelves, with the unique product being exclusive to B&M stores.

Go ba-na-nas Jammie Dodgers are inspired by the upcoming Minions film, The Rise of Gru, which is set to be released on 1 July.

The banana flavouring replaces the classic jam filling that Brits have grown to love over the years, and comes after various different versions of the biscuit were launched previously, including cherry and apple.

Sharing a snap of the new product on Instagram, B&M wrote: “We’ve gone bananas for these new MINIONS Ba-na-nas favoured Jammie Dodgers!

“You can grab these banana flavoured jammie dodgers for just 50p. The perfect snack for kids and grown-ups alike. They’re full of fun with NO artificial colours or flavours – plus they’re suitable for vegans too! @jammiedodgersofficial LIKE if you want to try these?”

The post racked up nearly 2,000 likes and hundreds of shoppers flocked to voice their opinions on the new banana-filled treat, with many not being keen on giving them a try.

One person wrote: “That’s so wrong,” as another agreed, adding: “No thanks”.

A third shopper said: “Couldn’t think of anything worse,” and a fourth wrote: “That’s just odd oh no not for me”.

However others seemed eager to get their hands on B&M’s new Jammie Dodgers, and excitedly started planning their next trip to the popular retailer.

“I NEED them”, wrote one person, while a second said: “Need these in my life #gobananas”.

Others tagged their friends to show them the new biscuits, with many agreeing that they needed to get their hands on the banana-flavoured treat soon.

However, if you want to get your hands on a pack you’ll have to act fast, as they’re only available for the next four weeks and are exclusive to B&M.

While you can’t shop online at B&M, you can use their store locater tool to find your nearest store and get stocking up on the new banana-filled Jammie Dodgers.
