Top Gun: Maverick Advance Bookings, Box Office Prediction, Screen Count and Reviews
Hollywood star Tom Cruise’s aviation film Top Gun: Maverick is all set to hit theatres worldwide on May 27th (Friday), the film is being released in India in 5 languages original version English and the dubbed version Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
Tom’s latest flick is the sequel of his 1986 legendary film Top Gun, now after over 35 yrs the actor is back on the silver screens, he will be seen doing some rip-roaring aerial sequences as shown in the trailer.
It is also the long-awaited film, it was initially scheduled to release in July 2019, but owing to covid pandemic makers had to push back the release at least 6 times. And finally it is ready to hit the big screens.
Reviews
It had a world premiere in April 2022, where the film got positive reviews, critics praised the performances, action sequences especially the aerial ones and the cinematography done by Claudio Miranda. The film received an average of 8 ratings out of 10. Many critics said that it is Tom’s one of the top performance.
Screen Count
Top Gun: Maverick is reportedly made on a whopping budget of 115 million dollars (INR 1178 crores approx), and the film is said to be released in India on over 2000 screens.
In North America the film is released in a whopping 4727 theatres and became the all-time no.1 theatre count in the continent, beating The Lion King in 4725 theatres.

Advance Bookings
Hollywood recent flick Doctor Strange 2 had seen a whopping Rs 28 crores opening day, the film has churned out Rs 119 crores in its two weeks in India. Trade Analysts suggested that the success of the film was because of its advance bookings which was opened a month before the release.
Now, following the outstanding opening, makers of Top Gun: Maverick also started the bookings one month prior of the release and the reports are all positive.
Box Office Prediction
Top Gun is releasing the same day in India as the home market, and it is projected to collect around 100 million dollars (Rs 775 crores approx) on the first weekend in the domestic market and 80 million dollars (INR 620 crores approx), internationally.
In India, Tom’s earlier outing MI: Fallout had an opening of a whopping Rs 10 Cr, as the actor enjoys a decent fan following in the country. The film had gone on to collect a total of Rs 80 crores.
Now with a month advance bookings, and popularity of the actor in India, it has a chance to see the figures revolving in the range of Rs 15 to 20 crores on Day 1.
