Caitlyn Jenner hangs with daughter Kendall after wedding snub
Blood is thicker than water.
Caitlyn Jenner was spotted spending some quality time with her biological daughter, Kendall Jenner, after her former stepdaughter, Kourtney Kardashian, did not invite her to her lavish Italian wedding.
The “I Am Cait” alum, 72, and supermodel, 26, were photographed after they grabbed a bite to eat on Saturday at Lucky’s restaurant in Malibu, Calif.
They both were seen dressed casually in jeans for the dinner date.
A source recently told Page Six that Caitlyn was “shocked” Kardashian, 43, had not invited the former Olympian to her overseas nuptials to Travis Barker on May 22.
However, another insider clarified to TMZ that the Poosh founder had no hard feelings, but Caitlyn simply “didn’t make the cut.”
Caitlyn and Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner, were married from 1991 to 2015, and the gold medal-winning decathlete helped raise the “Kardashians” star since the age of 12.
Although Caitlyn was seemingly gobsmacked, the wedding snub may not come as a surprise to the public since it is well-known that the Kardashian women’s relationship with Caitlyn has not been the same since she and Kris, 66, separated in 2013.
In 2017, two years after Caitlyn transitioned, the motivational speaker claimed in her memoir, “The Secrets of My Life,” that Kris knew about her “gender issues.”
However, the Kardashian matriarch slammed that allegation, saying on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” at the time, “I read it and basically the only nice thing she had to say was that I was great socially at a party one time …. Everything she says is all made up.”
Kris added, “Why does everything have to be that Kris is such a bitch and an a–hole?”
In 2019, Caitlyn shared she was on the outs with another Kardashian family member, Khloé, and that they hadn’t spoken in “five years.”
In November 2021, the former gubernatorial candidate said her relationship with Kris “is not as good as it should be,” and “I wish it was closer.”
However, the famous momager downplayed the tension during an ABC News special in April, saying, “We’re fine. We’re friends. I see [Caitlyn] when she’s at a family thing. It’s settled down a lot.”
