The musician turned actor recorded “Isolation” with Beck and released it on streaming services in April 2020.
The duo then revealed that they “have been working on music together for a while now.”
“We weren’t expecting to release (“Isolation”) so soon but given all the hard days and true ‘isolation’ that people are going through in these challenging times, we decided now might be the right time to let you all hear it,” Beck said in a statement at the time. “You’ll be hearing more from Johnny and me in a little while but until then we hope you find some comfort and solidarity in our take on this Lennon classic.”
Depp’s appearance in the U.K. comes just two days before the jury decides the verdict in his libel lawsuit with Heard, 36. The jury began deliberating on Friday following closing arguments.

Depp is suing Heard for libel in Fairfax County Circuit Court over a December 2018 op-ed she wrote in The Washington Post describing herself as “a public figure representing domestic abuse.” His lawyers say he was defamed by the article even though it never mentioned his name.
Depp has denied he ever struck Heard and says she was the abuser in the relationship. Heard has testified about more than a dozen separate instances of physical abuse she says she suffered at Depp’s hands.
A verdict in the trial is expected to be determined Tuesday.
