It turns out there are limits to Kim Kardashian’s ability to snag invitations to all the best parties.

The reality TV star, the so-called queen of American celebrities, was told no when she landed in London this week and asked royal officials for tickets to attend the big, star-studded Platinum Party at Buckingham Palace Saturday night, as part of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, the Daily Mail is reporting.

Representatives for Kardashian asked for tickets to the party and concert for her and her boyfriend Pete Davidson, according to the Daily Mail in an “exclusive” report. But Buckingham Palace officials turned the couple down, as did publicists at the BBC, which will broadcast the show, the Daily Mail added.

Some 22,000 people, along with members of the royal family, are expected to attend the party, where Queen + Adam Lambert, Alicia Keys, Diana Ross, Duran Duran and Andrea Bocelli are among the marquee musical acts expected to perform. Some 10,000 tickets were made available to regular Britons, via a public ballot, and 7,500 of those tickets were reserved for essential workers and people in the military and associated with different charities.

The Daily Mail said that Kardashian “was so determined to attend the party”she didn’t care if she didn’t snag VIP tickets.

“Kim rarely gets turned down to attend any event, so this has been quite surprising, especially as she doesn’t visit the UK often,” a source told the Daily Mail. “Kim and Pete love the Royal Family and really wanted to be a part of this special celebration.”

The Daily Mail said that representatives for Kardashian declined to comment. Last month, Kardashian made global headlines when she managed to summon an iconic dress of Marilyn Monroe’s to wear to the ultra-exclusive Met Gala.

Kardashian and the “Saturday Night Live” comedian arrived in London earlier this week. It’s not clear if they were coming for the Jubilee celebrations, or if they had other reasons for being in the U.K.

Members of the royal family are expected to attend the party on behalf of the queen, who will be watching on TV from Windsor Castle. The 96-year-old monarch is said to be “pacing herself” during the four days of celebrations.
