Hollywood coming to Hart County – Thursday’s casting call for ALL
Producer Branscombe Richmond and Hollywood stars on site
HORSE CAVE, Ky. – Kentucky Down Under Adventure Zoo – the perfect spot to bond with nature, feed animals… and potentially film a movie?
Actor and producer Branscombe Richmond produces films here in the commonwealth as well as California and Hawaii. Now, he’s hunting locally for what will become the setting for his two nature heavy movies.
The Kangaroos’ stomping grounds made quite the impression when he visited the Adventure Zoo on Tuesday.
“We’re doing some wonderful movies here in Kentucky that are about children and animals. We don’t want to give anything away, but the Kangaroos are probably very interesting…,” Branscombe revealed. “There’s a wonderful connection with them, and it’s nice to be here with them.”
Though the contents of the two movies are under wraps, a little birdie tells News 40 that Richmond is searching for actors and actresses of all ages to debut on the big screen.
Southern Kentucky Film Commission is hosting an open casting call Thursday afternoon in Hart County, and they need roles of all shapes, sizes and ethnicities – children especially.
To attend the casting call, head over the Cave City Convention Center on Thursday. Auditions Start at 3:00 p.m.
After auditions, Branscombe’s hosting a celebration of film party where people can rub elbows with directors, producers and Hollywood actors. Branscombe says this is the perfect opportunity to have your big questions answered by the industry professionals.
