The NBC series Young Rock showcased Dwayne Johnson as a presidential candidate for the year 2032. Since the first episode aired, the fans have been wondering if Johnson is seriously looking forward to becoming the president of the United States.

The Rock who has made a successful career in WWE and Hollywood has also been making a successful career as a businessman. There is no surprise that if Johnson puts his name in the hat for the US presidential elections in the future, it would be epic.

A few years back in 2016, even before Young Rock was released, there were rumors of Dwayne Johnson wanting to become the US president. Like he was in WWE, The Rock is a true ‘People’s Champion’ in real life as well. He has always presented himself as open to public service.

Zac Efron wants Dwayne Johnson as the US president

In an interview with The Sunday Times of Britain, Hollywood actor Zac Efron commented on Johnson’s aspirations of becoming the US oresident. Efron said, “He wants to make an impact beyond acting. He could run for president. F**k it, he’d be better than anyone at this point.” (H/T Vanity Fair)

The ‘Baywatch’ co-actor of Dwayne Johnson is positive about ‘The People’s Champion’ becoming the president. But right now, he wants to focus on his acting career and look after the businesses he has invested in.

Moreover, Johnson hasn’t completely denied the possibility of becoming the US president. He is waiting for the right time in his life when he can start a political career after a successful wrestling and acting career.

The Rock praised a journalist for a post relating to his presidential run

In 2016 Dwayne Johnson shared a post on Instagram which was regarding his possible presidential run. He shared a post by The Washington Post written by Alyssa Rosenberg a few years ago.

In the caption, “Interesting piece from The Washington Post on if I ran for POTUS I could actually win. Writer Alyssa Rosenberg did some pretty good research into my background (slave descendants fighting for their freedom, Revolutionary War etc). He added, “I care DEEPLY about our county… and the idea of one day becoming president to create real positive impact and global change is very alluring. He liked the post very much, and this data made him more interested in running as the presidential candidate.
