Koffee With Karan, the infamous show that has managed to keep audiences hooked for seven seasons with salacious celebrity gossip and oodles of controversy and outrage, will have Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan as a guest this season, confirmed Karan Johar.

The first episode of the latest season was released on 8 August and it had Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh as the celebrity guests. The episode was everything and more that can be expected from an episode of KWK – love, drama, and gossip galore.

So far, Aamir Khan has appeared thrice on the infamous talk show. Once he came with his ex-wife, and business partner Kiran Rao. The second time was in a solo appearance, whereas the third time was with his Dangal co-stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh.

Speaking to the entertainment portal Bollywood Hungama, Karan had said, “Well, Aamir, yes. Shah Rukh, I think should really only explode at the time of Pathaan. So I know he is not doing much, not facing any media right now and that’s the best decision for him because when Pathaan does come, it’s going to be a tsunami at the box office. Shah Rukh Khan has kept people waiting and desired and the more they wait, the more they will really give back in terms of love, to I believe the biggest star of our country.”

Celebrities usually appear on Karan’s talk show in a bid to get more eyeballs and buzz started around their films. So, it makes sense that Aamir Khan would agree to be featured on KWK for a fourth time despite his elusive nature as his film Laal Singh Chaddha is expected to release on 11 August.

Based on the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump, LSC  ran into controversy after people panned Aamir’s acting in the trailer. Many said that he was recycling expressions from previous films of his such as Dhoom 3, PK and Taare Zameen Par. Thus, he could use all the help he can get to promote Laal Singh Chaddha.
