Kim Kardashian is reportedly ‘overwhelmed’ by Kanye’s post-split ‘antics’
From Kanye West‘s recent interview and social media comments about Kim Kardashian and their kids to his dis lyric aimed at Kim’s new beau, Pete Davidson, the rapper’s public “antics” are reportedly getting to Kim. An Entertainment Tonight source says that while Kim is “trying to move on” after filing for divorce from Kanye last year, she’s “been overwhelmed and upset by Kanye’s recent interviews and antics,” like the post in which he thanked Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott for giving him the address of a birthday party Kim was throwing for their daughter, Chicago. “Kim’s main priority has always been their children,” the source says of the former couple’s four kids. “Her goal has always been to have a healthy co-parenting relationship with Kanye, where both of them are involved.” According to ET’s insider, any rules Kim may have established since she separated from Kanye are in the interest of establishing “a structured plan in place so that her children can feel safe, secure, protected, and loved by the both of them.”

Bradley Cooper says he spent six hours filming ‘Nightmare Alley’ bathtub scene with nothing on
No clothing for six hours on-camera? No problem. That was the thinking Bradley Cooper tried to maintain when it came to appearing on the big screen without a stitch on in his new thriller, “Nightmare Alley.” The Oscar nominated star opened up about his bathtub scene with Toni Collette on the KCRW podcast “The Business” featuring The Hollywood Reporter‘s Kim Masters. “I remember reading in the script and thinking, he’s a pickled punk in that bathtub and it’s to story. You have to do it,” he recalls. While he got through the shoot, he also admitted that wearing nada “in front of the crew for six hours” on what turned out to be Toni’s first day on set “… was just like, ‘Whoa,’ it was pretty heavy.” Still, Bradley said, “there was nothing gratuitous about it,” so he was OK with just how much would be revealed onscreen (read: pretty much everything). “Nightmare Alley” is in theaters now.

In which Cate Blanchett learns she’s not cut out for homeschooling
Cate Blanchett has nothing but admiration for teachers after school closures during the COVID-19 pandemic forced the Oscar-winner to homeschool her 7-year-old — an experience she jokingly described as “traumatic” on Australia’s “The Project” this week. “I had to dress up as her teacher, to put on her teacher’s voice,” Cate recalled on the Jan. 18 edition of the talk show. “She wouldn’t start the classes until we had a full array of stuffed animals, all of which had the names of all the people in her class. It felt like some weird kind of cross between The Muppets and MasterClass. It was quite traumatic, actually.” Cate, who also shares two teenage boys and a 20-year-old son with her husband, Andrew Upton, said she did fine in her unexpected home teacher role for a couple of weeks — then young Edith apparently figured out how to get the upper hand with her mom. “My older kids were fine, they would self-direct,” Cate explained. “But I had to sort of do my 7-year-old, and I realized that I couldn’t even teach her grade 1 math, and she sniffed that out after 14 days. … There was no respect there.” The actress also pointed out that in Finland, teachers “are paid the same as doctors and lawyers — and they should be,” she noted, “because the level of skill to engage a bunch of often disinterested students for eight to 12 hours a day is one of the most profound, most respected skills of any profession anywhere.”

Animal charities nationwide get major fundraising boost in honor of Betty White’s birthday
Even after her death, Betty White’s animal activism lives on. Prince Harry seeks to appeal police protection decision after Prince Charles’s rumored invitation
There could be a reunion on the horizon for Prince Harry and his father, Prince Charles, after many months of rumored tension. According to The Mirror, the Prince of Wales invited Harry and his wife, Duchess Meghan, to stay with him so he can spend time catching up with the couple and their children, one of whom Charles has not yet met. The invite seems likely to remain in limbo, however, unless Harry’s wins his recent appeal to the British government to be allowed to pay for his own U.K. police protection while he’s there. (The Duke of Sussex was told he could not pay, even personally, for a British police protection detail when he and Meghan stepped back from their duties as senior members of the royal family and moved to North America. He filed for judicial review of the decision over the weekend.) Harry’s relationship with his father has reportedly been strained since he and Meghan left; their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey is widely believed to have exacerbated the situation. Still, Harry wants his kids “to know his home country,” but feels unsafe visiting without the protection of local police, which he wants to foot the bill for himself, his rep said in a statement to NBC News. Meanwhile, the Sussexes have continued to settle into their lives with son Archie, 2, and daughter, Lilibet, 7 months, in California. Over the holiday weekend, Bernice A. King, Martin Luther King Jr.’s daughter, praised Harry and Meghan on Twitter for their “graciousness in honoring” the slain civil rights leader by donating meals from Black-owned food truck businesses to staff and volunteers at the King Center’s MLK Day service project events in Atlanta on Jan. 17.
Bella Hadid explains those Instagram crying photos, details ‘debilitating’ depression
Back in November, Bella Hadid shared photos on Instagram that showed her looking tearful and distraught while suffering from anxiety and depression. Now, the model is sharing new insights on why it was important to her to give the world such an honest snapshot of who she often is when she’s not on the runway. “I would have really depressive episodes and my mom or my doctor would ask how I was and instead of having to respond in text, I would just send them a photo,” the 25-year-old said in WSJ. Magazine‘s latest edition of “My Monday Morning.” “It was the easiest thing for me to do at the time because I was never able to explain how I was feeling. I would just be in excruciating and debilitating mental and physical pain, and I didn’t know why. That was over the past three years.” Her goal in sharing the photos on social media, she explained, “was to make sure that anybody that was feeling that way knew it was OK to feel that way.” Pointing out that while Instagram can make “things look so beautiful, at the end of the day, we are all cut from the same cloth,” she added, “I felt like it was just good for me to be able to speak my truth and at some point I wasn’t able to post nice pretty pictures anymore. I was over it.” Later in the Q&A, Bella admitted she’s better today but she also stil has bad days. “My brain fog is feeling better, I don’t feel depressed,” she said. “I don’t have as much anxiety as I usually do. But tomorrow I could wake up and [be] the complete opposite. That’s why I get so overwhelmed.” Sharing the crying photos helped assuage those feelings though. “Walking outside, being able to remember there are so many people going through things and have similar patterns to me, it makes me feel better,” she said. “I don’t know if that’s not what people want on Instagram, and that’s fine. I don’t have to be on Instagram forever. I feel like real is the new real, and that’s what’s important to me.”
Tracy Morgan cracks a joke about his divorce during standup set
Tracy Morgan kicked off a comedy tour at the start of the year and his new material takes inspiration from both his divorce and the COVID-19 pandemic. During the “30 Rock” alum’s standup set at Carolines on Broadway in New York City over the weekend, he cracked a joke about his July 2020 split from Megan Wollover, couching it in pandemic terms. “My wife took this whole social distancing thing a little too far,” he cracked, per Page Six. “I called her up and asked if she was quarantining, and she responded, ‘Call it what you want … I left and I ain’t coming back!'” Tracy and Megan tied the knot in 2015, two years after Tracy was nearly killed when a Walmart truck slammed into his limo van as he returned home from a show. He and Megan announced plans to divorce less than five years later. Other celebs in the audience at Carolines reportedly included Ice-T and his wife Coco, as well as New York City mayor Eric Adams.
