Eddie Munson Actor Joseph Quinn Meets Metallica
Stranger Things 4 star Joseph Quinn had the opportunity to meet Eddie Munson’s favorite band, Metallica.
Netflix’s Stranger Things 4 has been one of the most dominant forces in all of popular culture this summer, and part of that is thanks to the introduction of one of its breakout characters, Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn). The character, who leads the Dungeons and Dragons group “The Hellfire Club” became an instant fan-favorite, especially in Vol. 2 of the fourth season in which he is shown in the Upside Down performing the guitar solo from Metallica‘s “Master of Puppets.”
In a moment that will certainly honor the legacy of Eddie Munson, Joseph Quinn had the special opportunity to meet Metallica. Netflix shared the following video, in which the Stranger Things 4 star got a chance to meet the band backstage at Lollapalooza, even receiving an autographed electric guitar:
Given that Eddie Munson sacrifices his life in the Upside Down in the finale of Stranger Things 4, it appears unlikely that Joseph Quinn will reprise his role in the fifth and final season of the series. However, given that he has become a runaway fan-favorite, the actor is certainly in-demand in Hollywood for more roles. Whether or not we see him again in the series, his cover of Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” will go down as one of the most memorable sequences in television this year.
Here is the synopsis for Stranger Things 4:
“It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.”
Created by the Duffer Brothers, the Netflix series stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, Brett Gelman, Jamie Campbell Bower, Eduardo Franco, and Joseph Quinn.
All four seasons are available to stream on Netflix. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the future of the series and other roles from Joseph Quinn, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
