When it comes to the colors of the rainbow, no color lifts my spirits up more than purple, and the pastel hue that decorates Khloé Kardashian‘s almond-shaped nails is my absolute favorite shade of the color. Better yet, it doubles as the perfect nail color for spring. 

The reality star provided a brief peek of her very pretty periwinkle tips via her Instagram story on March 30. Kardashian’s purple nails — or nail, in this case — made their debut in a photo in which she’s holding a cookie that features a picture of her daughter True. 

In fact, Kardashian’s particular shade of periwinkle looks just like the 2022 Pantone Color of the Year that was announced back in December of 2021: Very Peri. According to the company, the color is considered to be “a dynamic periwinkle blue hue with a vivifying violet-red undertone.” Basically, that’s just a long-hand way of saying that Very Peri is a mix of blue and purple. 

As demonstrated by Kardashian’s periwinkle-coated nails, Very Peri obviously makes for a stunning nail polish color, but Pantone emphasized in its Color of the Year Announcement that it also nicely complements the eyes and is a great color for hair.
