Travis Barker has revealed that glamming up for his Oscars red carpet appearance with his fiancee Kourtney Kardashian was ‘all new to me.’
The 46-year-old Blink-182 drummer found himself in the unfamiliar position of wearing not only a Maison Margiela tuxedo but also powder.
‘I like the juxtapose of me being at the Oscars,’ he told Vanity Fair. ‘It like doesn’t quite fit, but it does. Just like seeing me in a suit doesn’t quite fit but it does.’

The slender rocker shared: ‘I have a uniform that I feel really comfortable in which usually is no shirt, a pair of pants and some Converse or Doc Martens.’.
Travis added: ‘Not I feel comfortable in a suit and I’ve found suits that I like. Making sure the clothes don’t wear me and I wear the clothes is super important.’
He confessed that in general ‘I never really have a glam team – I never get powder or whatever but this is the Oscars so I’ll do whatever.’
His ‘chill’ beauty routine included moisturizing his lips, spreading on a bit of lotion and keeping his fingernails trimmed.

Travis and Kourtney’s red carpet appearance made her the first member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan to attend the Oscars proper.
He was there to play the drums as Reba McEntire delivered a performance of the Oscar-nominated song Somehow You Do from the movie Four Good Days.
While chatting to Vanity Fair he insisted on the importance of not eating ‘too much before you play’ and gushed: ‘A banana is everything. Gives you potassium, you don’t cramp up. It’s good. I love matcha…and ginseng. There’s these little capsules of ginseng that’ll take before I play.’
Said he: ‘It’s not really like a caffeine rush, it’s more focused energy. But yeah, I’ll do some push-ups and get myself psyched up a little bit and that’s pretty much it.’
