Kalki Box Office Collection Day 9: Prabhas, Deepika Padukone Starrer Inches Towards Rs 450 Crore Mark

But, the film is still doing much better than the others released this year. The dystopian sci-fi actioner has also entered the top 10 list of highest-grossing Indian films in the US.

The film has been doing steady business after opening at a stupendous collection of Rs 22.5 crore, which has a total of Rs 432.1 crore, adding Rs 17.25 Cr on its Day 9.

Makers dropped a post on the official Instagram page of Kalki 2898 AD revealing that the film has also broken box office records in North America. They shared a poster featuring Prabhas’ character. The text on top of the poster reads, “Epic Blockbuster Fastest $14 M+ Grosser in North America. The Supreme Lord of the box office…..Leaving no stone unturned with his Mightiest Record Breaking Rules.”
Kalki 2898 AD is inspired from Mahabharata with its main lead playing either reincarnations of mythological characters or their varied forms. The film also stars Kamal Haasan as the main antagonist, apart from others like Saswata Chatterjee, Shobhana, and Disha Patani.
Nag has been teasing details about the film’s sequel since its release. While the film’s ending sets up a war between Ashwatthama, Karna and Supreme Yaskin, it remains to be seen what else is in store.
Prabhas plays a bounty hunter called Bhairava from Kashi, and Deepika plays a pregnant test subject called SU-M80, while Amitabh plays Ashwatthama from Indian mythology. Kamal plays Supreme Yaskin, the leader of the Complex.
