Celebrities try on CT sisters’ jewelry line at Oscars pre-party
Glastonbury jewelry designers and sisters, Raeann Baribault-Schwartz and Christina Baribault-Ortiz showcased their jewerly line, The Power to B, at a two day Oscars pre-show event on March 25 and 26.
The Connecticut sisters were invited to showcase their brand at an exclusive gift boutique for celebrities, influencers and VIP’s that was held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in California.
“My favorite part of the experience was being able to introduce all the celebrities to our brand, helping them pick their power word and having heart full amazing real conversations,” said Baribault-Ortiz. “Everyone walked away wearing their power word bracelets.”
Celebrities like Viola Davis (actress), Jordin Sparks (singer), Anthony Anderson (actor), Terrence Terrell (actor) and Jason Ritter (actor), attended the event and had the chance to check out what was their “power word.” “We were in awe of the positive reaction and how everyone embraced what was happening in there lives currently to help pick their current power word,” said Baribault-Schwartz.
There were many interactions during which the sisters got goosebumps, teary-eyed and “felt our hearts on fire” while listening and helping the celebrities feel empowered by their power word they will wear everyday.
“B Limitless,” “B Fearless” and “B Badass” were the most popular power words chosen. “Here was one celebrity who lost their mom a few months before he found out he was going to the Oscars and chose to wear a ‘B strong’ to help empower him through the evening and remember his mom,” said Baribault-Schwartz.
The Power to B designs came about when both sisters were struggling to conceive. They faced miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies and five rounds of IVF.
“During this journey, what helped us the most was being positive and leaving Post-its all over with power [phrases] like ‘be strong’ or ‘be powerful’,” said Baribault-Schwartz in a past interview.
This inspired the sisters to create bracelets with powerful phrases meant to remind women that they are not alone during difficult journeys. The collections’ jewelry features messages such as, “B Strong,” “B Fierce,” “B Badass,” “B Limitless,” “B Fearless” and “B You.”
GBK Brand Bar is now featuring “The Power to B” collection in its gift store at La Peer Hotel in West Hollywood, and it is also available at Baribault Jewelers in Glastonbury.
“This is an amazing opportunity to expose our brand to more people in Hollywood, where we know it will continue to B well received,” said Baribault-Schwartz.
