It’s been a long wait, but 2024 is bringing some much-desired gifts for TV viewers. With the writers’ and actors’ strikes finally over, it’s time for the top broadcast and cable series to finally return from hiatus, a break made much longer because the writers and actors were on the picket lines. (Top streaming shows are already starting to come back.)

In 2024, dozens of old favorites will return, picking up where they left off last year when they went off the air. The top returning shows of 2024 mostly include dramas, but a few comedies and reality programs are also in the mix.

Here’s a look at the best TV shows coming back in the next few months, as well as where you can watch them.
