Morgan recently announced that he’s been pursuing Gadd as well for an interview.

Gadd has previously indicated in interviews how Baby Reindeer has been fictionalized for the Netflix version of the tale—which is based on his hit 2019 UK one-man stage show. Gadd has noted, however, that “emotionally, it’s all 100% true.”

After the opening scene in the first episode of Baby Reindeer, the line “This is a true story” appears on the screen.
