Khloé Kardashian admits Tristan Thompson is ‘not the guy for me’
Khloé Kardashian finally admitted that she and Tristan Thompson weren’t meant to be.
“With Tristan I did feel incredibly safe in the beginning, and I felt really good for a time,” the reality star, 37, told “Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts during Wednesday’s “The Kardashians: An ABC News Special.”
“I remember when he cheated on me right before I gave birth [to True] and I was able to still have him in the delivery room. It might have looked strange to the outside world, but when my daughter watches my home videos, those videos are going to be as pure and perfect as I was able to make them.”
Kardashian noted that while she thinks Thompson, 31, is still “a great guy” and a great dad, he’s “just not the guy for me.”
When asked about wanting more privacy amid her personal traumas, Kardashian offered, “We all crave those times, we definitely do, but I think we all know what we signed up for.”
She added, “What I go through on social media is not what I go through in real life.”
Kardashian’s relationship with Thompson has been public fodder for years, receiving a boost in attention after the NBA baller had a child with another woman last year, reportedly while still in a relationship with the “Good American” founder.
“Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols,” Thompson — who shares 3-year-old daughter True with Kardashian — confessed in January after facing a paternity suit from Nichols. “I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son.”
He continued, “Khloé, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years.”
While facing Roberts’ line of questioning marked the first time the reality star directly addressed her relationship with Thompson since his latest affair, she subtly shaded her ex with a post about his actions three weeks after his confession.
“Betrayal rarely comes from your enemies,” she wrote via Instagram in late Janurary.
Kim and Kourtney Kardashian were also put on the hot seat during the Q&A, with the Skims founder opening up about her relationship with Pete Davidson. Meanwhile, Kourtney discussed her highly publicized relationship with “husband” Travis Barker.
