Simon Cowell focuses on skincare and diet after Botox left him looking like a ‘horror show’
Simon Cowell is just as well known for his cosmetic surgery choices as he is from his TV shows.
The famously harsh X Factor judge vows to never have Botox again after being left looking like “something out of a horror film” after experiencing some botched jobs.
The music mogul, 62, wowed fans at the Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards with his filler free face for the first time in two decades, writes the Mirror.
He told The Sun : “There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far. I saw a picture of me from ‘before’ the other day, and didn’t recognise it as me first of all.
“Eric (his son) was in hysterics. Enough was enough. There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero.”
Simon has changed his look many times throughout the career, from a drastic 20lbs from dieting, brand new blinding white teeth or a freshly wrinkle free face.
As recently as this weekend, fans were treated to a new episode in the saga of Simon’s changing face as he stepped out looking totally different as he embraces his au natural looks.
He sported a hand brace on his left arm after he injured his arm in an e-bike crash earlier this year as he looked fresh-faced after removing the fillers that he had put in his face over the years.
His new age-appropriate eu naturale look came as the telly star he revealed he will be stepping back from fillers as it left him looking like “something out of a horror film”.
He has never admitted to going under the knife but said as far back as 2008 that having Botox was as commonplace as brushing his teeth.
He told Glamour: “To me, Botox is no more unusual than toothpaste. It works, you do it once a year – who cares?”
Spending so much time in Hollywood – the land of plastic surgeons – Simon has been looking trimmer than ever, thanks to his vegan diet.
But in 2019, Simon admitted to having a “21st century face lift” and “too much Botox” before his 60th birthday.
The entertainment tycoon gave himself a huge makeover and turned back the clock following a health scare.
After spending so many years in the public eye it was hard not to notice the difference in The X Factor boss’s new face – which was pretty poorly received by fans who lambasted him for “ruining” his “handsome” face.
Simon said the procedure “hurt like hell” and told The Sun that he had visited cosmetic surgeon Dr Jean-Louis Sebagh, known as the ‘Picasso of dermatology’, for the procedure.
The non-surgical ‘sewing bioplastic-infused thread’ facelift set him back around £2000.
He explained at the time: “For me now, it’s all about having clean skin. If you have clean skin, you look better. But you have to be very careful with some of this stuff.
“There’s lots of things you can do now. You don’t just have to stuff your face with filler and Botox.

“It hurts like hell but it gets rid of sun damage and unplugs all the cr*p.”
The talent judge previously said that Botox had “added 10 years” to his career, but now turns to more unconventional treatments.
He recently admitted to having a sheep placenta facial which he described as being “quite out there”.
Speaking of his regret at opting to pump his face with fillers, he said: “Hopefully I look better now – I probably did have a little too much Botox a couple of years ago, because everyone on TV has it.
“Now I have facials, but nothing too extravagant at the moment. I have a girl who comes here and does a great face massage – it’s very relaxing.”
He’s also confessed he’s now on the ‘Eric Cowell diet’, inspired but his vegetable-loving son’s eating habits.
He told Extra TV: “I went to see this guy who’s very well-known. And he said to me, after doing some blood work, ‘You can’t have red meat, dairy, sugar, bread or gluten’.”
Simon asked whether he could still drink alcohol: “And he said, ‘Maybe not quite as much as you had before’. And I did it and I stuck to it and it’s easy.”
