I’m an actress – I’m begging Hollywood to cast me as Billy Connolly
AN AMERICAN actress says she is begging film bosses in Hollywood to cast her as Billy Connolly.
TV star Rosa Pasquarella has taken to Twitter to share what she believes is a resemblance to the Glasgow comedy legend, 79.
Rosa is known for TV shows Funnel of Darkness, the Deep End and 2010 Michael Winterbottom flick The Killer Inside Me – featuring Kate Hudson and Casey Affleck.
And she thinks she should land a role as The Big Yin in any forthcoming flicks about the funnyman.
Rosa shared an image of herself next to a picture of Billy in a bid to point out the similarities with their hairstyles.
She joked: “I am once again begging Hollywood to cast me as Billy Connolly.”
She shared a picture of herself alongside the comedian wearing his trademark glasses.
And some fans were left agreeing with the funny image.
The tweet racked up several responses from followers.
One said: “Wait! We need the glasses.”
Another said: “I’d watch that!”
While another user commented on her hair saying: “Ok but his hair is shinier.”
In a candid documentary interview which aired in December last year, Billy revealed that he hides his Parkinson’s struggles from his children.
Billy is no stranger to major Hollywood roles himself.
The former stand-up star – who is now battling Parkinson’s – starred in hit films including Brave, Pocahontas and The Man Who Sued God.
