Glibert Gottfried’s most recent Instagram post asked for feedback on “the smack.”

The comedian, whose family confirmed his death at the age of 67 on Tuesday after a protracted illness, tweeted a selfie with fellow comedian Chris Rock.

Will Smith smacked Rock at an Academy Awards presentation when Rock made a joke about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

The caption on the photo of Gottfried and Rock said, “Which is the worse crime?” “Is Chris Rock being abused or is Chris Rock making a joke?”

Gotfried also tweeted about the article.

Gottfried defended other comedians in a CNN opinion post from 2012.

“You laugh when a comedian tells a joke that you think amusing. Don’t laugh if he delivers a joke you don’t find humorous. He remarked, “Or you may go as far as moaning or rolling your eyes.” “You then wait for his next joke, and if it’s amusing, you laugh.” If it isn’t, you don’t laugh — or, at the absolute least, you may discreetly leave.”
