Healthy cookie dough?

Yeah, it’s a thing, and it’s propelling Euless native Sabeena Ladha, 32, to renown in the world of healthy junk food.

Last fall, the Trinity High School and University of Texas at Austin grad appeared on ABC reality series Shark Tank to find backers for her year-old company, Deux. One of the show’s investors briefly showed interest, but Ladha was ultimately left walking.

But after she posted a video on Tik Tok that went viral, responding to Reddit users who criticized her for wearing a pink short suit on the show, Ladha began promoting her business through social media. This has led to considerable success for the Los Angeles-based Deux.

Celebrities like Paris Hilton and Kristin Cavallari are taking notice, according to The New York Times, because the flavors — like Chocolate Chip, Brownie Batter and Peanut Butter — taste good, and are good for you.

According to the company, all of its vegan products are “paired with a ‘function,’ meaning something good for you, like vitamins, supplements and boosts.”

Deux also makes a Nutella-like chocolate hazelnut spread called Drip.

Ladha’s products can be found locally at Dallas Foxtrot Markets in Uptown and University Park.
