Amanda Holden is known for always looking glamorous, especially when she appears on the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel.

The 51 year old, who recently suffered a wardrobe malfunction as she headed to work at Heart Radio, has showcased many incredible looks during her time on the ITV show, but some have divided viewers and even sparked a wave of complaints.

Amanda’s risky gowns have seen BGT hit with Ofcom complaints from viewers on a number of occasions, but the star continues to take the criticism in her stride.

2017: Julian MacDonald gown

Back in 2017, Amanda’s daring outfit choice saw BGT hit with over 600 Ofcom complaints.

The mum-of-two wore a striking £11,000 gown by Julian MacDonald on the show, which featured a plunging neckline and a low back.

While she looked incredible, fans were left less than impressed and the outfit racked up a record-breaking 663 Ofcom complaints.

One fan tweeted at the time: “So Amanda is effectively topless on Britain’s Got Talent,” while another branded the dress “NOT suitable”.

Ofcom decided not to investigate the complaints, and Amanda laughed off the criticism, saying at the time: “That dress was hysterical – it was Julien Macdonald. I had bits of fish wire underneath my breasts trying to hold that together.

“But, look, I’m from a small-chest family, plus you know I’m 48 years old. It’s all quite laughable, but all everyone seems to talk about. It’s been called another national ­crisis – but, oh no, I will not be covered up.”

2019: Spiderweb dress

A couple of years later, Amanda appeared on BGT in a gorgeous floral and white gown, which featured a sheer panel across one side of her chest.

The Nicola Jebran dress had colourful embroidery across it and a spiderweb design across one side, as well as a flowing train.

Amanda certainly commanded attention in the gown, but a small minority of viewers weren’t pleased with her daring outfit choice, with it receiving nine Ofcom complaints from people who deemed it “inappropriate”.

2019: Sheer dress

Also in 2019, Amanda rocked a jaw-dropping gown at the Britain’s Got Talent final.

The incredible dress had gold detailing and sheer panels across the chest and arms, along with a long skirt which featured a thigh split.

The mum-of-two wore her hair slicked back in a ponytail and finished off her look with glam make-up.

She was once again hit with complaints from viewers, with one person saying: “It’s like she has half her dress missing. This is a family show put it away, no cares might as well came naked.”

2020: Blue cutout gown

One stunning blue gown prompted fans to complain back in 2020, with some even claiming they’d seen Amanda’s nipples as she appeared on the show.

The dress featured a large cutout across the chest and a long skirt with a thigh split, which Amanda paired with a pair of heel heels and her blonde locks styled in loose curls.

Ofcom received 235 complaints about the star’s outfit, but she wasn’t fazed by the criticism and took to social media to defend herself.

Amanda wrote: “Mmmm, really? Who has nipples this close to their cleavage?

“FYI, a boned corset dented the girls all night. Surely there are more terrible and important things to write about.”

2022: Pink latex

During this year’s series, Amanda has appeared on-screen wearing a number of gorgeous outfits, but one certainly divided viewers.

She wore a neon pink latex dress to one set of auditions, showing off her incredible gym-honed figure.

Paired with matching pink stilettos and lipstick, Amanda’s look certainly caught fans’ attention and while some were quick to praise her daring outfit, others were not as impressed.

One person wrote on social media: “What on earth possessed you to wear a rubber sex-dress @AmandaHolden? This is a family show, not Only Fans. I have switched this filth off #BGT.”

However, other BGT fans loved the star’s pink look, with one person saying: “Amanda’s dress is to die for tbh what a queen #bgt.”

Another added: “Imagine being @AmandaHolden’s age and looking like that goals #BGTHP.”
