Amber Heard being shown as Pinocchio amid legal battle with Johnny Depp leaves Internet upset
If there is one thing that the whole world has their eyes on currently, it is unarguably the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial. Unless you are living under a rock, you will surely know all the latest updates about the case because almost everyone is discussing it. People have taken a peculiar interest in the trial involving famous Hollywood actors.
The former couple is facing off with each other in Fairfax County Circuit Court in Virginia and over the last few weeks, we have seen an outpouring of support for Depp on social media. Heard has become the fodder not just for memes but ugly reels and TikTok videos.
Now, a graffiti of the actress, reportedly in Spain, has started a discussion on social media. Netizens are of the opinion that most men accused of abuse do not face the kind of hatred that we have seen Heard receiving since the trial began. The graffiti features the face of the actress with an elongated nose (resembling that of Pinocchio). It has these words painted on it, “You broke my nose, Johnny.” This elongated nose could be symbolic of the fact that Heard has been lying about Depp abusing her.

However, this graffiti left a section of the internet concerned because they thought that men accused of abuse have never been subjected to this kind of public hatred and humiliation.
I have never in my life seen a man become the target of hate like this https://t.co/sc7pokgidL

“Depp stans are accusing Heard of lying about having a broken nose after he head-butted her. She never said that, however, she said she *thought* he broke her nose because it hurt so bad,” a user clarified on Twitter.

The evidence altogether indicates pretty clearly that he wasn’t abusive… and very, VERY clearly that she was.
However, I’m pretty grossed out by the insensitive behavior from people treating this like some kind of celeb drama when it’s actually a pretty horrific situation— Caroline (@carcarolina456) May 23, 2022
i also find it disturbing that people care enough about celebrities (especially jd) to create this?! you don’t know the man?! you know nothing?! i hate that this trial is televised. i hate that this is going to make people think twice about disclosing IPV

For the uninitiated, Depp filed a defamation case against Amber for an op-ed piece she wrote in 2018 for The Washington Post where she called herself a victim of domestic violence. While she didn’t mention Depp, the actor filed a case against her. Since then, several celebrities have come out with their views. While some have stood by Depp, others have shown support for the Aquaman actress.
