Last night’s Attack of Titan episode, Two Brothers, is one of the wildest of the series, and already turning out to be one of the most beloved.

The show is one of the most popular in the world at the moment, having returned for its final string of episodes, and last night’s blockbuster is now the highest rated episode of the series on IMDB with a perfect 10/10 score after thousands of reviews have poured in.

There are already three other Attack on Titan episodes in IMDB’s top 10 highest rated episodes ever, indicating this is a place AoT fans tend to flock to express their excitement about the show. Obviously it’s a matter of taste to some extent on any fan-voting site like this, but it’s still pretty interesting to see. Here’s how the current list breaks down, and right now, Two Brothers shares its perfect 10 rating with only one other episode in TV history, and you’ll probably not be surprised at which one:

  1. Breaking Bad, Ozymandias (2013) – 10.0
  2. Attack on Titan, Two Brothers (2022) – 10.0
  3. Attack on Titan, Hero (2019) – 9.9
  4. Attack on Titan, Perfect Game (2019) – 9.9
  5. Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Victory and Death (2020) – 9.9
  6. Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Shattered (2020) – 9.9
  7. Star Wars: The Clone Wars: The Phantom Apprentice (2020) – 9.9
  8. Chernobyl, Vichnaya Pamyat (2019) – 9.9
  9. Mr. Robot, 407 Proxy Authentication Required (2019) – 9.9
  10. Attack on Titan, Senshi (2017) – 9.9

One you get outside the top 10, there are a lot more entries from Game of Thrones (the good years), Breaking Bad, the most recent Succession finale and even more Attack on Titan episodes.

Again, I’m not sure Attack on Titan and Clone Wars episodes make up the bulk of the best TV episodes of the last twenty years, and yet it’s significant to see this episode’s placement all the same. With a fanbase this passionate about their show, that this Attack on Titan episode specifically is reviewing above all the others is pretty significant, and shows how well it landed among fans. It may drop its score as more reviews come in, but it should stand alongside the all-time highest rated ones all the same in the end.

There are 12 total episodes in this final part of Attack on Titan season 4, which means we still have nine more left to go. I doubt we’ve seen the last of high-scoring ones yet.
