Celeb couples who’ve reunited after Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s secret trip
Hollywood is rife with rumours that exes Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have rekindled their romance that ended almost 17 years ago.
The couple, dubbed Bennifer, first met and dated in 2002 after starring together in the flop film Gigi. An engagement quickly followed with a stunning pink engagement ring and Ben even cameoed in Jennifer’s music video for Jenny from the Block.
However, it wasn’t meant to be as they parted ways in 2004 and the singer and actor went on to find love with other people. Ben tied the knot with another Jen, marrying Daredevil co-star Jennifer Garner in 2005 and went on to have three children together before announcing their divorce in June 2015.
Jennifer Lopez meanwhile married her longtime friend, Marc Anthony who she would later welcome twins with in 2008. The couple’s marriage was dissolved in 2014 and since then, the Love Don’t Cost a Thing singer has been engaged to New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez before their split was announced in April 2021.
With both stars now single, and Jennifer once describing her break up with Ben as her “first real heartbreak”, there is every chance the famous pair may reconcile once more.

While being on and off again might not seem like the most romantic route to take in a love story, research suggests that approximately 50 percent of couples reunite after a break up.
A 2013 Kansas State University study found almost half of all couples that reunite also revealed that they had got back together believing their partner had changed for the better or that they would be better at communicating.
While nothing is confirmed when it comes to Jennifer and Ben’s rumoured rekindled romance, many other celebrities have given love a second chance after a split.

While the pair are happily married now, they actually had an on-off relationship before tying the knot – with one break period leaving them unable to be in the same room together.
Speaking about their 2016 split three years later, the daughter of Stephen Baldwin discussed the tension: “Fizzledwould not be the right word – it was more like a very dramatic excommunication. There was a period where if I walked into a room, he would walk out.”
Justin went on to briefly date Sofia Richie and even reunite with his childhood sweetheart Selena Gomez before getting back with the now Mrs Bieber for good in 2018.
The pair made their vows to each other in a New York City courthouse in September 2018 with a larger celebration for family and friends held in South Carolina in 2019.

The royal couple may be set to be King and Queen one day but that doesn’t mean their relationship is without the same drama of their ‘commoner’ celebrity peers.
The pair met and began dating during their time studying at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland until their shock split in 2007.
While official royal spokespeople declined to comment at the time, it was rumoured that the break up was due to intense media attention and William’s frequent partying.
The couple of course reunited and in 2010 announced their engagement. A multi-million pound wedding followed and the future monarchs are now parents to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Speaking about their time apart, Prince William told the UK Press Association: “We both were very young – we were sort of finding ourselves and being different characters and stuff.
“It was very much trying to find our way and we were growing up, and so it was just sort of a bit of space and a bit of things like that and it worked out for the better.”
Pink and Carey Hart

One of the strongest but most on-off relationships in Hollywood, Pink and motocross racer Carey Hart have split and reunited many times over the years.
The couple began dating back in 2001 before first parting ways in 2003 before getting engaged in June 2005. The Just Like a Pill pop star proposed to her boyfriend during a Mammoth Lakes motocross race and the pair married in Costa Rica on January 7, 2006.
However, after months of speculation and rumours, in February 2008, Pink announced the two had parted ways but remained on good terms. Later that year, Hart made an appearance in the music video for her chart topping song So What, which discussed their relationship breakdown.
The couple completed marriage counseling during their separation and in February 2010, the romance was back on with Pink confirming the two had reunited. The famous duo are now parents to Willow Sage, born December 2016, and a son, Jameson Moon.

While they may now be happy, doting parents to their first child together, there was once a time when it didn’t seem like Bradford born Zayn and supermodel Gigi would end up with each other.
The pair were first spotted back in 2015, after the former One Direction singer had ended his four-year relationship with fiancee, Perrie Edwards.
Their relationship seemed to go from strength to strength, with Gigi even appearing in Zayn’s music video for his debut solo single Pillowtalk and a couple photoshoot in Vogue, but they shocked fans when they briefly split in the summer of 2016.
They quickly reunited only to split again two years later, mutually announcing their separation in March 2018.
“Break up statements often seem impersonal because there is really no way to put into words what two people experience together over a few years .. not only in the relationship, but in life in general. I’m forever grateful for the love, time, and life lessons that Z and I shared.

“I want nothing but the best for him and will continue to support him as a friend that I have immense respect and love for. As for the future, whatever’s meant to be will always be. xG,” Gigi tweeted.
The on-off couple seemed to reunite again within weeks of releasing joint statements but seemingly broke things off once more by 2019.
However, that wasn’t the end of their love story. 2020 revealed that the pair had got back together once more, with Gigi sharing pictures of her quarantine birthday celebrations featuring Zayn and confirming the rumours the stars were locked down together.
Just months later, Gigi’s first pregnancy was announced and in September 2020, Zayn proudly posted the arrival of the couple’s daughter.

Game of Thrones fans were thrilled when the on-screen couple appeared to be keeping the romance going off camera too when it was first rumoured that Kit and Leslie were dating.
Pictures circulated of the acting duo holding hands but the co-stars remained tight lipped about their relationship and never directly confirmed it.
It was revealed that while still filming together on the HBO show, the pair actually split but by 2014 it was all back on. The now-married couple went public with their relationship on the Olivier Awards red carpet in 2016 and announced their engagement in 2017.
They married in Scotland a year later and in February 2021, welcomed their first child to the world, a baby boy.

They’ve been happily married since 2013 and are parents to two children but it almost didn’t happen for the now happy couple. In 2017, The Good Place actress revealed that Dax Shepherd actually broke up with her at the start of their relationship.
“He sat me down and said, ‘I can’t have this right now. I think you’re wonderful, but I am still dating other people,'” she said. “And then I, like, liquefied and fell to the ground, but I felt incredibly respected that he had the balls to tell me we weren’t in the same place.”
However, he quickly realised he made a mistake and the pair were reunited within days.

Now happily married with children, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel actually had a little time apart from each other after a few years of dating.
In March 2011, representatives for the couple released a statement revealing the Cry Me a River singer and the actress had parted ways and claimed “the two remain friends and continue to hold the highest level of love and respect for each other.”
The break didn’t last long as the two were reunited by the summer that followed and got engaged in December 2011. The Hollywood couple married in 2019 and have two sons together: Silas, born in April 2015, and Phineas, born in September 2020.

While there’s nothing other than rumours to suggest Hollywood’s former Golden Couple have reunited as anything other than friends, many remain hopeful that Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston will rekindle their relationship one day.
The popular pair shocked the world back in January 2005 when they announced their separation after their wedding in 2000. The split came after speculation arose around Brad’s relationship with his Mr and Mrs Smith co-star Angelina Jolie and the rumours proved to be true as he would later wed and have children with the Tomb Raider actress.
While the world split into Team Aniston or Team Jolie camps (a battle that neither woman encouraged or endorsed) and Jennifer accusing Brad of “missing a sensitivity chip” in an interview post-split, in 2021, things seem very different.
Since his separation from Angelina Jolie, the former couple have reunited publicly as friends on red carpets and zoom calls and there is constant talk of secret meetings.
“It’s a never say never situation,” a source reveals. “Jen and Brad are on totally different wavelengths now, and both agree that everything happens for a reason. It’s shaped where they are today, which is in an exceptionally positive place.”

In 2021, they are the Internet’s favourite famous couple, constantly sharing insights into their life with fans and followers, but John Legend actually once tried to end things with model Chrissy Teigen.
The All of Me singer revealed recently that he actually once tried to break up with his now wife years before they tied the knot.
“I was really stressed and busy,” John told The Guardian. “I was just like ‘I’d just be happier single right now,’ and she was like ‘No’.”
Chrissy took to Twitter after the story went viral to share a little more about the long-ago incident.
“11 years later, baby,” she tweeted. “It wasn’t a typical break up,” she continued. “He was on tour and his voice hurt and he was being a whiny face about everything and so yeah, I was like ‘no.'”
