And while it’d be easy to dismiss some of these projects as simple cash grabs, plenty of passionate stars have actually pivoted away from the entertainment projects that made them famous in favor of running their businesses.

While Rihanna rose to superstardom as a singer, for instance, she now spends most of her time at the helm of her billion-dollar beauty and lingerie brands. And you won’t see Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow in many movies these days, as she’s too busy building her Goop empire.

In addition to her shapewear and loungewear line, Skims — which we tried and loved — she also oversees KKW Fragrance and KKW Beauty, the latter of which she’s currently working on rebranding.

Rihanna is surely the “Only Girl in the World” who could juggle this many ventures. She launched Fenty Beauty in 2017 with an impressive range of formulas and foundation shades, and followed it up with Fenty Skin in 2020.

And then there’s her size-inclusive lingerie line, Savage X Fenty, which expanded in 2022 to include brick-and-mortar stores. Clearly, the Bad Gal’s got serious business skills.

Khloe Kardashian: Good American
