Celebs who had their partner’s name tattooed but then broke up as Daisy May Cooper splits from partner
When it comes to romance, nothing quite screams commitment like getting your loved one’s name tattooed on your skin.
And while it may seem like the ultimate symbol of love and dedication at the time, things can get a bit awkward should the relationship come to an end – as some of our favourite celebrities have found out.
Most recently, This Country star Daisy May Cooper sparked engagement rumours when she got her boyfriend Ryan Weymouth’s name tattooed on her wedding ring finger back in March.
Showing off the ink just weeks after going public with her beau at the NME Awards, the 35 year old wrote: “My first tat”, alongside a love heart.

But despite the gesture, the actress has reportedly split with Ryan and Daisy has now deleted any trace of the chef from her Instagram account.
However, Daisy’s not alone when it comes to writing her love in ink. Let’s take a look at the other celebrities who have worn their heart on their tattoo sleeves…
Cheryl
With eight tattoos on her body, including her infamous rose design, Cheryl isn’t afraid of an inking or two.
In fact, during her four-year long marriage to footballer Ashley Cole, the 38 year old singer cemented her relationship status by getting ‘Mrs C’ tattooed on the back of her neck.
Despite divorcing in 2010, and despite a string of high profile relationships following the split, Cheryl has not had the tattoo removed and only ditched his surname in 2014.
Liam Payne
While Cheryl may have dedicated some body art to former flame Ashley, Liam was keen to immortalise his relationship with the Fight For This Love hitmaker with some ink of his own.
The former One Direction singer, who shares five year old son Bear with Cheryl, got her eye tattooed on his left arm during their two and a half year relationship.
At the time, the 28 year old spoke fondly of the inking and said it was his favourite during an interview with Buzzfeed in 2017.
“I like to know that she’s always got her eye on me, and I’ve always got my eye on her, which is nice,” he said.
Sadly the pair called time on their relationship a year later.
Johnny Depp
Back in the 90s, Johnny Depp’s relationship with his then-fiancée Winona Ryder was one of the most iconic romances of the decade.
During their four years together, the Pirates of the Caribbean star got his partner’s name tattooed on his upper bicep in an inking that read ‘Winona Forever’.

Speaking to Rolling Stone in 1991, Winona expressed her surprise at the tattoo and said: “I kept thinking it was going to wash off or something – I couldn’t believe it was real. I mean, it’s a big thing because it’s so permanent!”
However, following their breakup in 1993, the 58 year old actor altered the tattoo to say ‘Wino Forever’.
Zayn
Clearly a fan of documenting his relationships somewhat permanently, Zayn has got two tattoos dedicated to his exes.
While engaged to Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards, the One Direction star tattooed a cartoon version of his partner on his arm.
But a year after they broke up, 29 year old Zayn appeared to have covered up the artwork.
Elsewhere, the Pillowtalk singer got a tattoo of model Gigi Hadid’s eyes on his chest, whom he shares one year old Khai with.
Despite splitting in 2019, it seems as though Zayn still sports the tattoo.
Katie Price
Just months after they started dating in 2020, Katie Price and Carl Woods got his and hers tattoos of one another.
In a video posted to her YouTube channel, Katie, 44, and Carl, 32, unveiled their ink, with Carl proudly saying: “Look at this, we actually have each other’s faces on here.”
Despite allegedly calling off their engagement in March this year, the couple are back on track with Katie posting a loved-up snap alongside her beau last month.
