Christine Brown Sells Coyote Pass Back to Kody… For $10!
Christine Brown has made one thing VERY clear:
She was not in her polygamous marriage for the money.
According to property records obtained by The Sun, Christine sold her portion of the Brown family’s land at Coyote Pass back in late July.
She sold it back to her ex-spiritual spouse, Kody, and his only legal spouse, Robyn. For $10.
In 2018, the family purchased four parcels of land in Flagstaff, Arizona to build homes on for $820,000 called Coyote Pass.
This deal has thus far proven to be a disaster, however, as no construction is underway on the plot… even after all this time.
As a result, Kody and company sunk the aforementioned amount into all that land, and yet have also had to make rent and/or mortgage payments on other houses in the area while they wait for Coyote Pass to get developed.
If that ever even happens at this point.
According to Coconino County Court, Christine’s parcel of land was worth $300,000.
She didn’t look to cash in on it at all, though.
The mother of six announced in November that she was splitting from Kody after over two decades as a couple; she then moved back to her native state of Utah.
In the first official trailer for Sister Wives Season 17, we’re taken behind the scenes of her decision for the first time.
“I feel like to Kody, Robyn’s more important,” Christine actually says on camera, making this admission for the first time in public.
In a follow-up conversation between the couple, Christine tells Kody it’s been “heartbreaking” being his wife.
“I have decided to leave. I’m going to leave Kody,” Christine later explains to the camera.
While explaining her monumental choice to the other women, Christine shares the following sentiment:
“I agreed to be a sister wife, but I agreed to be an equal wife.”
Such an explanation doesn’t sit well with Kody, however.
“You never tried to have a really good relationship with these other people, and that’s the reason I’m pissed off,” he screams at one point.
“It’s just a knife in the kidney, after all the years, the sacrifices I made to love you.”
As a refresher, meanwhile, this is what Christine wrote on Instagram on November 2:
After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave,” the TLC star said in a statement posted to her page. “We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through this stage within our family.
Sister Wives Season 17 premieres on Sunday, September 11 at 10/9c on TLC.
We’ll be tuning in to witness all the drama.
