Coronation Street star Alison King has split from fiancé David Stuckey.
Alison, known for playing Carla Connor on the cobbles, and IT consultant David, 40, were supposed to get married in May 2020 before the coronavirus pandemic caused havoc to their Greek wedding plans.
The 49-year-old and David had been together since March 2018 and got engaged in 2019 before their wedding was postponed a year later.
A source told The Sun : “Alison and David have sadly decided to separate. They were very much in love for a long time but have ended up growing apart.
“It’s obviously very sad for them both, but they knew they couldn’t continue on together. Both knew that it wasn’t right.

“They parted amicably and both wish each other the best in the future.”
She had previously spoken about their engagement to OK! magazine in 2019 and how she had “an inkling” that David was going to proposed.
David got down on one knee on their eve of their one-year anniversary while they were onboard a sunset cruise.
Alison told the magazine: “I had an inkling he was going to pop the question because he kept putting something on my finger and going, ‘right, close your eyes and forget this ever happened’.
“We’d also discussed marriage, too. I think we both went from ‘no, we don’t ever need to get married’ to ‘oh, we really want to get married!'”
There was controversy just before lockdown when Alison and Corrie co-star Mikey North were alleged to have kissed during the 2020 National Television Awards.
Grainy videos and photographs of the pair sat together that was recorded by a member of the public who was in the audience.
The footage appeared to throw the pair sitting together with Alison resting her head on Mikey’s shoulders – before the pair press their faces together – while the member of the public recording the soap stars can be heard gasping in disbelief.
“He’s just snogged her. He’s just kissed her,” the astonished bystander exclaims.
However, both actors denied the rumours with defiant statements.

Alison told The Star that she “did have too much to drink at the National TV Awards, and chose to leave the event early” before adding “I did not kiss my co star Mikey North as has been reported.”
Mikey called the speculation as “beyond ludicrous” and “upsetting” for him and his family and said he lodged a complaint to with the Independent Press Standards Organisation as a result of the accusation.
He told OK!: “I would like to make one thing clear: I did not kiss my co-star Alison King during the recent National Television Awards. It is beyond ludicrous to suggest that I would or that I did.
“I have an amazing wife who I adore and, as incredibly supportive as she is, it is unacceptable that she should have to deal with people seeing this kind of baseless gossip on the front page of a newspaper.”
