All of the Carbone sightings and Leonardo DiCaprio gossip has paid off for anonymous Instagram blog DeuxMoi, which is becoming a celebrity in its own right. The popular account, which is known for its juicy, yet unverified, Hollywood tips, is getting its very own TV series, Deadline reports. HBO Max has given a script-to-series order to a drama from from Berlanti Productions and Warner Brothers Television, titled Anon Pls.

“Anon pls” is a go-to phrase for many followers sending in tips to the account while keeping their identities private; it also is the name of DeuxMoi’s upcoming debut novel, which will be published in November. If you’re wondering how HBO Max is going to turn an Instagram account into a TV show, we get it. But, the streamer has a plan: Anon Pls will be based on DeuxMoi’s novel, which is co-authored by the anonymous person behind the wildly successful gossip blog, as well as journalist and author Jessica Goodman.

According to publisher HarperCollins, DeuxMoi’s book follows Cricket Lopez, who creates a celebrity gossip blog out of her old Instagram account while working as an assistant to a celebrity stylist. While Cricket “never thinks it will become anything,” she soon finds her “account grows overnight” and “she starts getting gossip from fans.”

As her gossip Instagram account takes off, Cricket’s “newfound success is affecting her real life,” with her boss and friends noticing a change in her as “celebrities, investors, and journalists” come to her with “bright-eyed interest.” Cricket also has “a steamy new love interest” to juggle, but she’s unsure if she can really trust him.

Anon Pls comes from executive producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, as well as DeuxMoi.

While the comparisons to juicy drama Gossip Girl are sure to come when Anon Pls hits the small screen, DeuxMoi doesn’t have its roots in the hit CW series, or its 2021 HBO Max predecessor. In an interview with Cosmopolitan published after the Gossip Girl Season 1 finale in December, the anonymous mastermind behind the account denied any times to the show, or its 2007 original.

“The first time somebody sent in a sighting, I wrote in the word ‘spotted’ in direct reference to Gossip Girl,” DeuxMoi said at the time. “But the concept for the account wasn’t taken from the show because it started just with people sharing anecdotes and stories that they had throughout the years with celebrities.”
