Roberts’ breakout role as ‘Addie Singer’ in the American adolescent sitcom ‘Unfabulous’ came in 2004. From September 2004 until December 2007, the show lasted three years.
In 2006, she featured in Robert Vince’s Canadian adventure comedy film ‘Spymate.’ Critics initially panned the film, with Maria Llull of Common Sense Media describing it as “both predictable and baffling at the same time.” In the same year, she starred in the average box office success ‘Aquamarine,’ an American fantasy romantic comedy film. ‘American Horror Story: Coven,’ the third season of the FX horror anthology television series ‘American Horror Story,’ featured Roberts in the character of ‘Madison Montgomery.’ She later starred in ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ (2014-2015), ‘American Horror Story: Cult’ (2017), ‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’ (2018), and ‘American Horror Story: 1984’. (2019). Roberts appears as a guest judge in the episode “American Horror Story: Coven Girls” of American Horror Story in 2021.
Emma Roberts will next be featured in Marius Weisberg’s forthcoming American romantic comedy film ‘About Fate.’ The film is a replica of ‘The Irony of Fate,’ a Soviet television film from 1976.
