Hollywood actor Liev Schreiber joins humanitarian effort in Przemyśl – The First News

US actor Liev Schreiber visited Przemyśl just before Easter to work as a volunteer helping refugees from war-torn Ukraine, it has been revealed.
Schreiber worked at the World Central Kitchen (WCK), a kitchen run by an American organisation that prepares meals for thousands of people every day at the border.
Born of Jewish-German-French heritage, the Hollywood star also counts a Polish connection thanks to a maternal grandfather from Łódź.

“When I asked him why, he said, ‘Just to help.’ Tony and a team of Chicago chefs organised a fundraiser for World Central Kitchen in Chicago and raised USD 600,000,” Schreiber wrote.

During Easter, Schreiber crossed the Polish-Ukrainian border on foot and travelled to Lviv from where he posted pictures of musicians from the Lviv orchestra practising Mozart’s Requiem.
Schreiber also later crossed into Ukraine on foot.
