Former Western Force player Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins has announced he is expecting his first child with his girlfriend Alexandra George.

Cummins revealed the exciting news on Instagram over the Easter weekend.

“My darling and I look forward lovingly to the arrival of our little badger cub,” he wrote alongside a photo of him with his hand on George’s baby bump.

The couple, who wore matching white outfits as they sat on a log bench in what looked to be a rural setting, were joined by their pet dog.

Among the first to congratulate the couple was cricketer Mitchell Johnson, SAS Australia instructor Jason Fox, and former Home & Away actor Lincoln Lewis.

George also shared the news on her Instagram with a photo of a sonograph.

“We decided to create a little hybrid!! Can’t wait to share this next chapter with the love of my life 😍 welcoming our little badger cub into this world shortly,” she wrote.

The couple appeared to celebrate the news by attending the Blues Festival in Byron Bay, with George sharing a video shot from the audience.

The pair went public with their relationship in January 2021 when Cummins shared a photo of the couple cosied up on a boat as the sun set over the water.

“This sunset @kingfisherbayresort is a must-see,” he said as he showed off his beaming grin.

The couple were holidaying at the Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island in Queensland, and confirmed earlier rumours of the relationship. The pair reportedly met in the Kimberley.

Cummins became infamous on his season of The Bachelor for failing to choose between the final two contestants vying for his heart.

And, former Wallaby Drew Mitchell wasn’t about to let him forget it all these years later, writing on the baby announcement post: “Good to see you finally made a choice Badge!”
