Back in early 2020 — not long after the legendary actress/singer passed away at age 84, following a lengthy battle with breast cancer — Diahann Carroll’s longtime West Hollywood condo became available for $4.2 million. Removed from the market in March of last year, the stylish yet decidedly dated digs have surfaced once again, this time with a significantly reduced ask of nearly $3.2 million.

Purchased by Carroll in 1997 — and subsequently customized to her tastes by interior designers Stephen Rieman and Mark Krasne — the northeast-facing corner unit lies on the 17th floor of L.A.’s celeb-studded Sierra Towers skyscraper. Since the Jack A. An open-plan great room holds a combined living/dining room area displaying a chandelier-topped banquette, wet bar and sliding glass doors opening to a slender balcony, and a red-ceilinged kitchen is outfitted with all-white cabinetry and stainless appliances. A spacious master suite boasts a walk-in-closet and marble-clad bath with soaking tub, while the second bedroom has been converted into a wood-paneled library with built-in bookshelves.

Topping it all off are plenty of building amenities — courtesy of a hefty $2,754 monthly HOA charge — which include an attended lobby, valet parking and 24-hour security and concierge, along with a saltwater pool and fitness center.

Known for transcending racial barriers during her lengthy career, the New York native was the first black performer to have her own sitcom with “Julia,” which earned her an Emmy nod and Golden Globe. Carroll also appeared in several Broadway musicals — winning a Tony Award for “No Strings” in 1962 — as well as ABC’s primetime soap opera “Dynasty” in the 1980s.
