Inside Sheesh – the Essex hotspot that hosted Tyson Fury’s victory lunch
Essex hotspot Sheesh is a restaurant so glamorous it could make Kim Kardashian look underdressed.
It’s not surprising that brothers Tyson and Tommy Fury selected the venue to celebrate their boxing triumphs.
To celebrate Tyson’s win against Dillian Whyte and Tommy’s victory against Daniel Bocianski on Saturday 23 April, they gathered their family and friends together for an epic Sunday lunch.
As well as Tyson’s partner Paris Fury, there were some other familiar faces – including Mark Wright and James Argent – joining in on the fun.
Tyson arrived to find a red carpet laid out outside, where he and Paris excitedly posed for pictures together as they sipped champagne.
And former Love Island star Tommy looked delighted to no longer be on his strict pre-fight diet as he tucked into an enormous burger. The professional boxer excitedly exclaimed: “I’ve been waiting 12 weeks for this!” as he prepared to tuck into the treat. Who can blame him? OK! reviewed the trendy hang out before Tyson Fury’s visit…
What’s Sheesh like?
As you pull into the Essex haunt, you’re instantly transported into a decadent world– a valet will take your car so you’re free to meander up the path which features classic cars and a coat of amour. This is a small sign of the extravagance that is to come.
The venue, which was built in 1547, has been brought into the modern day with a series of pieces which owner Dylan Hunt collected from his world travels.
The glitzy chandeliers and extravagant décor give you many options for the perfect Instagram shot – add #sheeshgirls or #sheeshboys to your caption for a chance to feature on their popular social media page!

Now on to the important stuff – the food. You won’t be disappointed by the large portions of Turkish food served at Sheesh. OK! feasted on the sizzling shrimp (£16) to start, followed by the succulent lamb sheesh (£32), which comes with an epic side salad, and finished with their trademark dream cakes (£10).
The iconic dessert features a secret filling, and is covered in hot chocolate and served with ice cream. If you’re vegetarian, opt for the sebzeli moussaka (£18) or the mouth-watering mac and cheese. If you are celebrating and want to bite down on something extra special, try the Wagyu Burger (£40). Once you’re suitably full, it’s time to head upstairs to the cocktail bar for a Sheesh martini.
What else?
Upstairs, guests can often find unique entertainment. When OK! visited we were greeted by an an eclectic bunch of performers, including an opera singer, a Sia impersonator, and a dancer wearing a lion mask! It’s completely captivating, and you won’t just be a bystander to the chaos – guests are encouraged to get up and dance, too. The tequila rose shots on offer helped loosen the limbs…
Who goes?
It’s probably easier to tell you who hasn’t been – the regular guest list reads like a Who’s Who of Essex’s biggest celebrities. Every The Only Way Is Essex cast member, past and present, has walked through their golden and black door, including Mark Wright and his wife Michelle Keegan, Ferne McCann and Billie Faiers. Sam Faiers and Paul Knightley even met at Sheesh!
They’ve also welcomed Katie Price, Olly Murs and Harry Kane. And you even spot Lord Alan Sugar of The Apprentice fame, he who owns the building. You’re sure to see at least one celebrity during a visit – and if you don’t, then you’re probably just not looking hard enough…
