The ongoing multi-million dollar lawsuit between Hollywood star Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard appears to be far from over and now, in a new chapter of this blockbuster-style feud, several celebrities will testify in a U.S. court next month.

After three years since the legal troubles between Depp and Heard began, well-known names in the Hollywood industry, and even business moguls, will join friends, family, lawyers and other associates of the actors.

Which celebrities will be at the Depp and Heard trial?

James Franco, WandaVision star Paul Bettany, Tesla founder Elon Musk are on the witness lists that will begin April 11 at the Fairfax County Courthouse in Virginia. These three characters will testify virtually according to documents filed on March 14 and 15, plus it should be recalled that Depp accused Franco and Musk of having affairs with Heard.

In addition, Bettany’s 2015 correspondence with Depp is on Heard’s 1530-item exhibit list, which also includes texts between Heard and her Aguaman co-star Jason Momoa, director James Wan, original Justice League director Zack Synder, as well as emails between Depp and Fantastic Beasts creator JK Rowling and with musician Jack White.

Representatives from the Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) will also testify at the trial.

How did the legal battle between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard begin?

Depp and Heard, who are set to testify in person in April, were married between 2015 and 2017 and began their feud in 2016 after the actress obtained a restraining order against Depp after accusing him of abuse, which he denied.

However, the former Pirates of the Caribbean star in March 2019 filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit over a Washington Post op-ed about domestic violence written by Heard in late 2018.

After the suit was dismissed, Heard countersued her litigious ex-husband for $100 million in September 2020, while Depp filed a defamation against The Sun publisher Rupert Murdoch for referring to him as a “wife beater,” though he was denied an appeal in March 2021.
