This year’s theme was Gilded Glamour, timed to the museum’s new exhibit “In America: An Anthology of Fashion.”
Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Regina King and Lin Manuel Miranda served as co-chairs of the event, with longtime Vogue editor Anna Wintour, designer Tom Ford and Instagram exec Adam Mosseri serving as honorary co-chairs.

Kennedy in 1962—though after the red carpet she changed into a replica of the gown, given its fragile state. “I’m extremely respectful to the dress and what it means to American history. I would never want to sit in it or eat in it or have any risk of any damage to it,” she told Vogue.
