Breakups, smear campaigns, pregnancy announcements and an awards show; Hollywood is hitting a heat wave and I am thirsty for some gossip.

Summer is the time when celebrities usually abandon their climate change values and private jet to the South of France so I’m grateful we are even getting these nuggets of news instead of another paparazzi photo of Jennifer Anniston on a yacht.

Although I will take the inspirational yacht photo as well and I’ll enjoy looking at it while my feet are in an inflatable kiddy pool overlooking my dandelion yard.

Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson break up

After a whirlwind romance that included Pete allegedly having Kim’s name branded onto his chest and getting a number of tattoos related to her and her children, Kim and Pete have split.

Speculation is swirling over who did the dumping and why the breakup happened but in a wild turn we never saw coming a theory went viral that Martha Stewart, 81, and Pete Davidson, 28, would be Hollywood’s next “it couple”.

Martha saw the memes and responded with, “Pete Davidson is like the son I never had. He is a charming boy who is finding his way. I’ve invited him to come on my podcast and I look forward to hearing what he has to say.”

Kevin Federline shares videos of Britney Spears arguing with her kids

It seems the drama didn’t end for Britney when she was freed from her 13-year court-ordered conservatorship. Noticeably absent from her recent wedding were her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

After Britney made comments on her Instagram about her sons not wanting to visit with her and calling their conduct “hateful”, her ex and father of her children Kevin Federline, released two separate videos of Britney arguing with her kids.

The subjects seemed a bit silly – the first video sounded like Britney was barging into her sleeping children’s bedroom to have them put lotion on their face and demanding they respect her.

The second video seemed to be about one of her sons taking his shoes off in a restaurant or similar establishment. There were some swear words and erratic sounding behavior but I’d probably sound a lot worse if someone secretly filmed my arguments.

I mean, my son is only 13 months and the respect level he provides me during times I’m only trying to keep him from bodily harm and imminent danger are close to zero per cent.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend announce their pregnancy

Almost two years after the devastating loss of their son, Jack, at 20 weeks gestation, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have announced they are expecting another child. Chrissy shared the news on her Instagram with a picture of her bump and a vulnerable caption about their IVF journey and the nerve-wracking process of carrying again after loss.

The couple already have two adorable kids, Luna Simone, 6, and Miles Theodore, 4. I’m available for baby hangs December on!

MTV Video Music Awards to air Aug. 28

With a lineup of performers like Lizzo, Jack Harlow, and Khalid, the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards will be a show to watch (or at least watch clips of on YouTube after, if you also like to go to sleep at 9 p.m.).

Jack Harlow, Kendrick Lamar and Lil Nas X have the most nominations, with Harry Styles and Doja Cat close behind.

Tune in for the fashion, the music, the speeches, and to see the winners crowned in categories like video of the year, artist of the year, song of the year, best new artist and dozens more.
